I have a Win XP pro machine and a Win 98SE machine networked by crossover cable.
Both machines have the latest Microsoft updates.
The XP machine sees the 98SE machine and can perform any network function.
The problem is with the 98SE machine. File explorer sees the XP machine, but if I
try to look in any shared directories, I get an error that says I do not have enough memory,
and to try and close some programs.
The 98SE machine has 160 MB ram (266 P2) and no other
programs running. Computer works fine otherwise. Ran Memtest-86, no memory faults.
The internet connection firewall is disabled. I turned off Norton Virus Auto-Protect.
