After about a year, I decided to end the "Mac Experiment". I sold off my iMac, and would like to return to PC's.
Per Blain's Sticky, here's my info...
1)What I would like to use this computer for? Aside from general office work and web browsing, I bought Bioshock from Valve's year end sale, and I play a little bit of CS: Source and Portal. I am planning on playing Starcraft II and Diablo III. I will be running Vista on it.
2) I have about $350 to spend.
3) Parts will be bought from the USA: Newegg to be exact.
4) Brand preference shouldn't be an issue, but due to the low-power nature, I've found that I should go with an AMD 45W Dual Core processor and an ATI 4670.
5) I've had an Antec NSK 1380 (mATX)gathering dust in a cabinet for over a year now, so I figured why not start from there. I could use a 250 gig HD I've got lying around as well.
6) I've seen similar threads about low power consumption.
7) I don't plan on overclocking, but I'm open to the idea.
8) I'd like to have this thing built, if it is feasible, by the end of January '09.
My main question is: will a 350W PSU be able to handle the following parts:
1) CPU - Athlon X2 5050e
2) Mobo - Foxconn A7GM-S
3) Vid Card - ATI 4760
4) 4 Gigs of the cheapest DDR2 800 RAM I can get
5) 500gig HD
6) CD/DVD Writer
So is it possible? Thanks in advance!
