Low temp. e6750 @ 3.2Gghz

I just finished building my PC, and my temperature readings are a llittle low to me. I have a feeling that the numbers are wrong. My PC is located in an attic with a small window that blows cold air in all day.

In the afternoon, the temperatures move up about 5 degrees to about 10-12c

e6750 3.2Ghz
2gb G.Skill ddr2

add 15C to your temperatures to get the correct reading, or download Coretemp 0.95.4 beta which supports your G0 E6750.
What is your ambient temps? even with adding 15C, your temps would be crazy cool

Thankyou for the quick reply, I downloaded the program you said and my readings look more normal, it's showing Core #0 23 and Core #1 23.

I have an E6750 that was packaged 11/07 and I am very suprised how good it is. OC'd to 3.6 GHz with only 1.36v (actual) and load temp of 52C! Using a TR-Ultra 120 with Panaflo HX (900rpm load) in 70F ambient. Haven't tried higher yet, but I have not had a single error so far in testing. This cpu roxors!

Are those temperatures at idle or at load? If they're idle temps, load up your CPU running Orthos/Prime. You can also use Orthos/Prime to verify that you have a stable overclock. Check the sticky at the top of the CPU section of the forums.

Don't you get cold when you use your computer?

Those temps are at idle. I'm going to try Prime95, thanks the advice. I'll post an update once I'm done.

Yeah, it's cold up here but It's worth it, COD 4 online, with 5.1 surround sound, I love it!

Update

Didn't go so well, and I don't know what to do


After 5 min on the Blend test, I got this

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

Could someone please help me, thanks in advance

I'm not sure how overclocking Intel CPUs work, but I would guess that you need more vcore. Try upping your vcore by one notch.

well after some research I realized that after lowering the timings on my memory, I did not raise the dd2 overvoltage control...it was at 1.8v. So I raised it to 2.0 and ran Prime95 for 30min:

my results

idle: 23c
full load: 40c

You have an old, incorrect version of COreTemp with Tjunction at 85C. Download CoreTemp 0.95.4 and it'll give you the correct reading. I have the exact same chip, packaging, and i hit 3.9Ghz 24/7 prime stable on air.

Best part about my E6750 hitting 3.6 GHz with low volts and temps is that I was able to turn down all of my system fans to low setting which makes for a very quiet computer. Much happy about that.
