Doesn't sound completely off if you run the card with one of those tiny OEM heatsinks, since the chips get rather hot. At least the Geforce 1 chips generally have heat (not voltage) problems when overclocking. As an example, I was able to raise the core speed from 140 to 160 on my Geforce DDR when I slapped on a Globalwin FKP32 heatsink.
Addition: In case you wonder why I only run it at 152 now, the reason is I removed the fan from the FKP32 (because of noise). Now it's stable to 160, with help of good chassi air flow, but has a tendency for "artifacting" above 156. So 152 is OK with me. The memories are crappy on my board...
