LULZ! MSNBC anchor accidentally outs Tim Cook on the air

The guy gets done saying "We had a problem getting any CEO's to discuss their sexual orientation", then an anchor goes on to say "Isn't Tim Cook is openly gay?"

I think he was already out, he just doesn't talk about it. He was talked about in reference to the BP exec about a month ago on NPR also.

I don't know if he was out or not, but I was well aware he was gay. I am assuming most other people knew as well. I asked my coworker and he also knew.

Really though, who gives a shit if he is gay or not? Does it effect his direction of a tech company in any way or otherwise impact his job? Nope.

Don't underestimate religious zealots. It would totally impact business if he was openly gay. It wouldn't kill Apple by any means, but there would be a measurable impact.

Tim is extremely business-oriented and he knows this. If he's gay, he'll keep it quiet until he's no longer leading the company -- unless something happens and he basically feels he *must* talk openly about it. Of course, that's if he actually *is* gay. I believe it's extremely likely he *is* gay, but I've known similarly effeminate guys that were not. The difference: His personal life seems to be extremely secretive for a reason. Wikipedia has no information about past relationships, marriages, children, etc.

He's gay in the same way I'm straight. Sure, I like women, but I don't think I've ever had to tell anyone I was straight, ever felt the need to, and I've certainly never made a public announcement to let everyone know. Why? Cause no one should care.

Yeah, thats pretty much the definition of outing. What would you call "outing" apart from a public proclamation that you were gay?
