I dont know about the IS or the questionable commercials. But this isnt faked

Its a damn good camera

I think that everyone is trying to come to terms with the fact that not everything with advanced cutting edge tech is on Android or iOS. If that kind of tech was on any of the other two platforms, they would be embracing it not making an issue out of it.

Nope, most of the advanced tech came from Palm. But everyone ripped them off and then forgot about them.

I'm not making an issue of the technology, I'm making an issue of the PR.

If the technology works, great.

Other than dual-core instead of quad-core, how is the 920 not cutting edge? I know in the past, WP7 was always being released on pretty dated hardware, but the 920 seems to offer all the current bells and whistles, with some extra (except AWS support -- screw you, Nokia! )

I would love to get the phone, but my Nexus isn't that old. I do hope people follow Google on having these flagship phones for $400 or less.

Definitely not the camera. The OS, functionality, and the touchstone were strokes of genius though.

Once more... no disagreement.

Not every OS has to have the latest and greatest for a smooth experience but still some people demand it or isn't considered a contender. It is nice to have, though.

Yeah WP7 wasnt exactly groundbreaking but it did what I want and was simple, neat and I liked it. The only problem I'm having is accessing my schools Live Mail, and thats minor.

Camera is nice but the wireless charging is meh to me. I'd rather just plug it in and still be able to use it at my bed or desk.

Is it wrong that I still want the Lumia 800 more than this thing? Even with the dead-end OS that is on it?

I can get an unlocked Lumia 800 bundle on the Microsoft Store for $600. That includes the phone, a bluetooth headset, a wired 'cans' style headset, and a wireless speaker (think Jambox). I keep thinking about it for when I drop AT&T.

Something is wrong with you.

I can't wait for WP8. I really like WP7 so I'm sold, I'm just glad to see some much improved hardware for it. The HTC Trophy not the greatest, but I don't really notice it due to how smooth the UI is and how well WP7 runs on it.

Not a bad price for the bundle, considering that some features that are coming to WP8 are going to be available to the old Lumias as an update.

It just depends on the functionality Imo, and if you're willing to live with it without the latest HW. Who's to say you're wrong.

I loved the OS on my Surround, but the Surround was a piece of crap device. I prefer the smaller size of the iPhone or the Lumia 800, and I just cannot get something like that in a flagship device anymore it seems.

It isn't a bad price, I can get it used for about half that I think, but why not get a new one, with cool stuff that I will use (other than the bt headset probably).

Bleh, ad goof or no goof, I'll wait to see professional reviews comparing picture and video quality to judge before I fly off the handle and say this is ridiculous and write the phone off completely (or the company for that matter).

Since when do people believe commercials in the first place? They're representative and hyperbolic at best, it's the nature of the medium.

I am really conflicted with the 920. It has almost everything I would want in a phone. I do like the way the phone looks. I wish the phone was not so big and bulky. I am not sure I can use such a big phone comfortably. The titan was to big for me personally and this seems to be as big or bigger. They could of easily cut back the size of the phone. It will really come down to battery life, if I can use with 1 hand and how the HTC phone is. I don't like the samsung phone at all.

Looks like rich audio recording is a go for the 920.

If we ignore all the Nokia PR stuff it doesn't really leave us with a lot of information as the phone is not near release yet.

Here's a tidy rumor for u...
However, a source talking to Nokia For Us says the phones are coming to AT&T, available in stores Nov. 2.
Joining AT&T sometime during the first week of November is T-Mobile, which will supposedly carry the lower-spec 820, and Verizon, which the source said is set to get a version of the 920.
