You probably won't find a decent 1156 board for a good price.
The only 1156 boards I can find are on ebay; they are about $60-70 for what appear to be RMA replacements (in a static bag, no i/o shield).
The computer is for miscellaneous stuff, World of Warcraft, Counterstrike and photoshop every once in a while. Video card is going to be in the $100 to $130 price range, so settings aren't going to be maxxed out anyways.
i've bought some refurb boards from these guys before, and much of the fervor over 1366 xeon overclocking was started with boards from them as well

I don't know what an I/o shield actually does
That little bit of stamped metal to go around your ports in the computer case, to keep dust and gremlins out.

only 3 reviews on newegg for the P55, the H55 has 45. if you don't need something specific from the P55 one, i'd get the H55.

h55 ordered! For $38 /shipped hope everything works OK!
I have gotten a few boards from them also, but the lack of I/O shield stinks.
Those things cost too much money on eBay...
you can find i/o shields all over ebay for these boards.
