I just got this about one of my orders. Oh well, one of them is on it's way.

We had an unfortunate incident that began over the weekend with
several promotion-oriented sites unrelated to Macys.com, that
allowed customers to post information regarding coupon or
discount offers. Those websites, without authorization from
Macys.com, erroneously publicized several discount codes that
were intended strictly for Club Macy's members who used their
Macy's credit cards to make a purchase. When you placed your
order, you did not use a Macy's card. Because you were not
one of the intended recipients of the discount offer and did not
use your Macy's charge card, we are unable to process your
order with the discount and therefore have canceled your order.
Please note that your account has not been charged, or any money
due you will be refunded.

We are sorry for this inconvenience. The websites that
publicized the promotional discounts were not authorized to do
so and did not provide full and accurate information regarding
the nature of our offer. If you would like to replace your
order, without the promotional discount, please call

DRAT!! Got confirmation emails on all three two days ago -- then got cancellation emails on all three 10 minutes ago.

I received another confirmation but still missing 1 of them. They did not email me about the canceling my order. I do not own a macys credit card so I dont know what is going to happen to my order once they find out.

I received an email that canceled my orders too. But I have 3 orders so I do not know which one they canceled since they did not specify it.

Can someone tell me how this works exactly? If you have gotten a order confirmation, do you still get your order or no?

luckily I used my Macy's card but it still got cancelled. So, I called up the customer service, apparently I put in the wrong billing address, DUH! So, the guy redid the order for me at the same price as the discounted price.

This is making me want to go out and get myself a macy's credit card and charge it on to it. So does anybody know how to check your order status if they only give u a email saying that ur order is canceled because i have 3 orders

I got this e-mail too. I figured it was too good to be true. Anyhow, I still feel Macy's should offer something (perhaps one of the discounts) in return for their mistake. Not just some lame e-mail saying "sorry about your luck even though we screwed up, but hey if you still want to re-place your order with us you can call us back and pay our normally over-inflated ridiculous prices...blah blah blah..."

I wrote them back telling the I was going shopping at Nordstroms instead.


Anyhow, for those of you who did receive your orders, I would double check your CC statements to make sure they honored the discounted prices. Who knows, they may turn around and stick you with the full price.

I got two cancellation emails. I have two orders I can't find it on the website of macys.com and never got confirmation emails for those two. So I guess what they cancelled are those two orders. I just looked at other orders for which I have got confirmations, they still are on their website.
So can you help me to prove my guess?
