what system do you have and how is performance? Intel Core 2 2.16ghz+2GB of ram doesn't seem to cut it very well trying to do double duty

Then again, I haven't tried the latest Parallels betas yet. And don't have access to Vista yet either.

This is the reason I'll never get a mac. Snobs.

You couldn't just post in a general desktop thread... oh no... you had to make a seperate thread just for you. Congratz. You are everything the commercials say you are.

WTF dude?!?! Sounds like someone's either bitter or jealous. We're "snobs" because we didn't post in a thread that hasn't been updated in forever? What about the Vista desktop thread here: http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=38&threadid=1998867&enterthread=y

Are they snobs too? Asshat.

No doubt they made the Vista thread because the OS just came out, it's an entirely new shell to play with. If they made an XP desktop thread, then yeah it would be pretty elitist.

Just stick with a general desktop thread instead of making elitist threads like this, you just make it worse.

who made you the forum police? Why is this elitist? Are you that threatened by an OS that you feel the need to call Mac users names?

I have an Mac Mini 1.66ghz Core Duo, 2 gb ram and it runs beautifully... Not sure what the issue might be with yours, but vista has run very well for me on the mini for a few months now...

How does wanting to unite desktop threads sound elitist in the slightest? Do you even understand the word?

Why does the fact that I have Vista mean I can't live without it?

Because of fact that I can live without MAC OSX, and you have to use Windows. Even on mac desktop tread, mac users have to post windows screenshots...

Actually, i don't. Where exactly do I say that i have to use it? Is having the ability to run multiple OS's suddenly a bad thing?

Please, enlighten me.

It is quite simple:

Ability --> Need --> have-to

in other words, you are in illusion that you don't have to.

It is Java app, gotta be really bad when you can't use Java stuff that is designed to be platform-independent.
