I bought a $50 gift card at Macaroni Grill today and was given two $5 GCs as a bonus. The bonus GCs are valid 1/1/08 through 2/10/08, can be stacked, and can be used at any Brinker International restaurant--Macaroni Grill, Maggiano's, On the Border, Chili's. The waiter did not know for how long this promotion will last, so check first.

Could you check the limitations.

My wife and I got burned about 2 years ago on this deal at my local Chilies. I had 4 - $5 cards (we gave away the $50 gift cards to our kids) on the last day they were valid we decided to go to Chilies to use them up. Our bill was about $40 and they only allowed us to use 1 card for each $25 spent. They said if the bill was $100 you could 'stack' all 4.

So we were only able to use one card. Wound up giving them to 3 tables around us.

The fine print on the bonus card says:
"Multiple cards may be used on the same check. Bonus card may be used only one time."

So either you were screwed, or Brinker changed the terms.

Thanks - she showed me the limitation on the promotion - on the card I think, so I guess this is a different promotion.
This is a good deal. I've done this at other restraunts and stores where you buy the gift card for yourself and also use the bonus dollars to create a discount for purchases you would have made anyway.
