This has been going on for awhile but I didn't see this listed here when I did a search.

If you use a Macintosh system or know someone who does, you might want to check out MacHeist. Software listed in the bundle is as follows with what the price would be if you bought in by itself...

1password $29.95
CoverSutra $22.00
Cha-Ching $40.00
iStopMotion $49.00
Awaken $12.95
Speed Download $25.00
AppZapper $12.95
TaskPaper $18.95
CSSEdit $29.95
Snapz Pro X $69.00
Pixelmator $59.00
Wingnuts 2 $59.90

Bundled price $49

If you visit the site, you can click on each software icon to see what it is/can do if you're not familiar with it.

One thing to note is that 25% of your purchase will be donated to the charity of your choice:

Action Against Hunger
AIDS Research Alliance
Alliance for Climate Protection
Direct Relief International
Humane Society International
The Nature Conservancy
Save the Children
Save Darfur
Prevent Cancer Foundation
World Wildlife Fund

I'm certainly not a sales guy for them or anything or this post would have looked a whole lot better. I bought the bundle and just thought I'd see if anyone here might be interested since I didn't see it already posted. They do have a referral system where I'm given a link to post but since I don't believe referrals are allowed here, oh well.

This is the second year for MacHeist and was incredibly successful last year. As of right now they're at just over $190,000 for charity. If you're a Mac user, those are some pretty decent apps at a great price so check them out. If you know someone who is, pass the word along or if you're feeling generous I believe they have a way to gift the licenses you purchase so that it could be a gift for someone.

The deal ends on the 23rd.

If you feel real generous and want a referral link, contact me but everything you need to get it is the link listed here. My nick on the forums there is "tech" if you wanna say hi or anything.

1Password is cool, if you trust your computer.

ChaChing looks like a nice little app, if it lives up to its billing.

SpeedDownload is definitely worth looking into - encrypted P2P among other things.

Then there's Pixelmator - supposedly an easy to use photo editor. Been waiting for one of those.

Last, there's WingNuts2, a game. Sounds good to me.

The rest might be interesting, like CSSEdit, if you're into programming, but for me those were the interesting ones.

Well, they are definitely inflating the retail cost of Wingnuts 2. It certainly has never
been anywhere near $59 even for the original release price (more like $29).

Makes me wonder what versions of the other software you are getting (although that might
not be important to some folks).

It never ceases to amaze me that some folks just don't get marketing. If the MSRP is $59, then that's the price they're going to quote percent off from.

As for versions, usually it's been the current full versions, although they've noted 1 or 2 non-upgradable versions in the past (RapidWeaver 3.5.1 two or three heists ago was not upgradable, but they sold an upgradable copy I believe with the 3.6.5 version last month, so it doesn't really matter to me.

When you buy this package, you're supporting charities and shareware developers. They apparently get a pretty good chunk of cash and an expanded customer base along with some free advertising, so that's all good.

I'll probably buy this one too, since they added WingNuts2. Pixelmater was primary hook for me, since I need an easy to use photo/graphics editor.

If anyone doesn't mind letting me refer them, PM me. I would like to get the 2 free additional apps for refering someone, but I don't know enough people who a) buy mac software to begin with and b) get this bundle.

I'd much appreciate it. Only PM me if you wouldn't mind and you're planning on getting the bundle anyway. Thanks!

They just hit the $250,000 mark for charity and just added one last app(VectorDesigner) to try bringing in more sales to hit $300,000 for charity. Here's what they have to say about it...

VectorDesigner

With the latest version of Adobe Illustrator costing $600, it's no surprise that the Mac community has been clamoring for a powerful, fast, and easy to use program for creating vector art that doesn't break the bank.

Say hello to VectorDesigner. Though relatively new, VectorDesigner features an impressive feature list, including Bezier lines, vector shapes, iSight, QuickLook, and scanner integration, and a conversion tool for turning non-vector images into vector.

In need of some photos? VectorDesigner not only integrates with your iPhoto library, but offers Flickr search as well. Instantly search for images on the popular photo sharing site by name or even color... a feature that must be seen to be believed.

Though only a few days old, VectorDesigner has already established itself as one of the best design apps in the market, winning Macworld's Best of Show award at this year's expo.

VectorDesigner will be unlocked for all past and future customers when we reach our goal of $300,000 raised for charities.

This all ends at the end of the day Wednesday.

BTW, the $$$ amount on WingNuts was off. Apparently there was some confusion and the amount has been adjusted but at the same time Freeverse threw Tiki Magic Mini Golf into the bundle as well.

Tiki magic got added at the same time as Wingnuts. When you went to your bundle page with the serials, it showed up under it as a free download. It just wasn't on the site. Then they decided they had to throw it into the bundle to make it look better. *rolls eyes*
