In the top left corner of each window there is a red dot, a yellow dot, and a green dot. Click the green dot. That should resize the window to a size that's appropriate for your monitor.

Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad. When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me! Now, the passion fruit. When your assailant lunges at you with a passion fruit...

"direct link libraries"
"no. dynamically linked library. do you even know what they do?"
"ummm....no."

Um, yeah, I had to talk to some Mac user in a class for a group project, and when asked how fast his net connection was his answer was "100" said with a straight face.

Holy shit..

That's incredible..

Lan party probably.

Best kind of parties. At least there you can make a joke about computers and people would actually laugh WITH you rather than AT you.

I'd probably still laugh at you.

KT

I have a Mac Pro running Windows Server 2008.

Works very nicely with the xeon processors in it.

I have this keyboard from Dell, it's great, and you can magically feel the keys, too.

No offense, but that's the same keyboard they've been throwing with dell boxes since 2006... they just added a gloss panel on top and some buttons.

I know exactly what it is and don't take offense to it, in fact, it's been around longer than that and it's about the best keyboard I have used. I've had my current unit for 3+ years.

<Obligatory elitist statement about still hammering away at a Model M>

I got one of those from a thrift shop. I really like the small footprint, but the keys don't feel right to me. I prefer my older PS2 Dell, and for really big, my Model M is my favorite.

Mechanical keyboards > any rubber dome keyboard

Who wants a secondhand piece of fruit that someone already tasted?
Well you still want Jessica Alba right? So second hand can't be THAT bad

I didn't say there wasn't, but I've never seen a PC user go around bragging about how much better PCs are when they have no idea what they are talking about.

That's because there are many, many more PC users than Mac users. There are bound to be more <insert any adjective> PC users than Mac users.

of all the things he could have ragged about, he chose DLLs?
That's a point you can drive home that everyone there would surely understand!

i would clearly spend hard earned cash for a computer with a picture of chuck norris on it.

Not another Mac vs. PC thread. Everyone has their own preferences, some like PCs better than they like Macs. It's just like discussing whether the Xbox360 is better than a PS3. People have their own preferences.

It's more like comparing Mercedes-Benz to every other car company on the market. It's all about price-performance, and the merits of individual companies, models, and parts. No question in my mind that Apple makes some nice Macs and there OS is fairly polished, but I still prefer most other PCs and Windows (7) for value and for customization.

I think some Mac users hear of DLLs as being part of the "bad part" of Windows that causes it to get hacked and such. They just hear that, but they have no idea what they do.
