LOL. Your position is that all of the illegal immigrants currently in the US (or at least a very significant portion) would have been aborted if the Catholic church wasn't influencing abortion in Mexico?

Sweet moral dilemma for righties, on one hand you got killing off the unwashed poor, and for bonus points: brown people, on the other you got their favorite hypocritical view of the abortion issue. Win! *grabs popcorn * well played
Conversely, we could deport all the illegals and breed a legal army of Duggars to harvest crops and whatnot. Problem solved!
As ole Karl Marx or was it Lenin who said, "Religion is the opiate of the masses."
So join the crusade, Kill All Catholic, kill all Protestants, kill all Muslims, kill all Hindus, kill all Buddhists, kill all Jews, kill all atheists, and this space left for fill in all remaing blanks_____________
By now we should see the common denominator which is kill kill kill without mercy for the greater good.
After that glorious goal is accomplished, we will understand, that katmypolitics was right, most human problems are caused by people. Get rid of 100% of ALL the people, and humans will have nothing worry about. Brilliant, simply brilliant.

It's the American business owners who hire illegals.
And, it's America's awful drug habit.
If the US didn't have greedy coked out shit heads, there wouldn't be much of an illegal immigration problem.
Nomination for Fail Post and Fail Poster of the month.
Congratulations
The month is young...but right now you're clearly the front runner.I won?
The only reason the Catholic church has influence over people is that the people allow themselves to be influenced by the Catholic church therefore the blame lies at the feet of those who allow themselves to be influenced and not at the feet of the influencer.

Individual responsibility? On this forum?
yes, cut off the hand of a thief. because of personal responsibility and all.
....
WTF are you talking about?
the absolute worst argument against abortion is the "personal responsibility of young mothers" argument.
So having unprotected sex a few times = forced burden of a baby as an example to others? A little harsh. And a shitty life for the teenaged mother and baby.
edit: by that logic, we shouldn't treat venereal disease and just let it run its course as a way of "setting an example"
You completely missed the point. This isn't about the "personal responsibility" of "young mothers".
Your original post alleged that the US has so many illegal immigrants from Mexico because they all need abortions and the Catholic church won't allow them. Thus the logical inference is that the Catholic church and its dogma directly or indirectly leads to illegal immigration.
"Personal responsibility" came in when I said that the blame lies not with the Church but with the people. You'll notice that I did not say that the people were to blame for needing abortions, which you tried to imply, but instead that the people were to blame for allowing the Church to influence and set policy.
