I'd say he was just assuming, him and Roger wouldn't be enough officially. I took it to be that if it didn't work out with Chevy the merger wouldn't have happened, but since it did how could Pete Joan and Bert say no?

Trudy's dad just fucked her out of hundreds of thousands of dollars, assuming pete can get a divorce before the merged agency goes public. I assume that they would have to merge first, before taking the new company public. That should take time. Time enough to go to reno and divorce...

Actually, people over at the TVWithoutPity forum were suspecting a merger since episode 3 with much less evidence, so I can definately see making that leap here. The weird thing is the show started making SCDP seem like one of the big ad agencies out there with Dow and Jaguar, but in reality both them and CGC are small-time in the grand scheme of things.

Maybe not exactly as he walked into the bar, but I thought the same thing as soon as they started talking about how they were wasting their time. It was plain as day to me. Mainly I saw it because I was thinking that they needed a way to keep Peggy relevant.

That was a great episode. The shit was hitting the fan and they pulled out a miracle.

It's too bad Trudy doesn't have much runway as a character - Alison Brie is super entertaining.

Other than her boobs I never really fascinated over her much, but with her hair down like it was in the opening scene she looked awesome!

Took me a few seasons into MadMen but blew my mind when I realized kartheiser was that little shit Connor from Angel.
