Damn, Don is back with a vengeance.

But I was still too shaken by the Ginsberg thing to really follow the meeting scene. Don used Harry's information to crash the meeting, and "offered" to resign. But his real intention was to secure the account singlehandedly?

And I'm assuming that Cutler's comment at the end about Don thinking that this would "save him" means that they won the account?

Elisabeth Moss just nailed that home stretch. She has been playing such a caricature for most of the season, it is nice to see her breath that life back into Peggy. This is the first episode of this season that has me dying to see next week's episode.

I think I'm still trying to digest last night's episode. Like someone else said, I absolutely can't wait until next week...

I was disappointed in the episode. Even the hotness of the three way didn't save it.

But Ginsbergs tit-ectomy made me go WTF?? Then Don's crashing the tobacco party was an awesome follow up to that.

By the closing credits I was checking to make sure there would be an episode next week since I couldn't bear it if they took a week off.

What was all that about Ted being worthless out in LA? That was the first we heard of it, to the best of my recollection. I wonder if we will see him at all this half season, or even the final half season?

Uh... Pete said to Ted something along the lines, "what do you even do here?" Ted has been shown as really depressed and just coming into the office to sit around and wait until he can go home. I'm not sure how anyone paying attention would miss all the stuff pointing to him not really doing much business.

Ted's participated in one conference call and showed up in New York once. That's kind of doing something.

Reminder: There are only two episodes left, IIRC. Effing split season.

That's not doing much at all. That's just being a partner, not a creative director. Pete pretty clearly alluded to him not doing much.

I need to rewatch the episode, but at this point I am feeling like the Ginsberg nipple scene may be where the show jumped the shark. This season has generally been sub-par in my view, but that seemed to be a whole new level of senseless weirdness.

Ginsberg has been weird for a while. I don't have a big issue with his character's direction.

I do have an issue with Betty still getting scenes. We all know that she's a huge bitch by now and I just really don't care where her story goes.

I am happy to see Don kick some ass. He's been pretty scummy the entire show, but his work has always been top notch and his failures on the job didn't seem to set the company far back and have been important in developing his character. I don't really understand why everyone is so mean to him at this point. I'm glad Peggy seems to be coming around, but Lou, Cooper, and Cutler have been pretty crappy to him.

I would like to see Don finally happy and satisfied with his life (and wife) at the end of the show, but I have no idea if that's where he'll end up.

I agree it's pretty weird but they had been dropping hints about Ginsberg being schizo every now and then.

But seriously it's about time there was finally a "madman" on the show amirite??

Yeah, Betty's story line is seemingly pointless. "I'm smart, I can speak Italian."

Oh and does anyone just want to punch Lou in the face every time he talks?

He is the worst.

Interestingly, he is played by Allen Havey, who is a hilarious and very influential standup comic. I have heard him interviewed recently on the Carolla and Maron podcasts and he's great.

I'm kinda hoping Don destroys him and he's the one who jumps out of the window in the last scene of the last episode.

That scene bothered you more than threesome?

We all knew Ginsberg would snap at some point... And that he and Peggy would "hook up".

The threesome seemed more reasonable to me than that. Overall I feel this season has been much less well-written than what we have come to expect from the show. The transitions don't seem to make sense, and the characters' behavior seems almost random at times.

I could see Ginsberg's story being jump-the-shark-ish but I didn't feel that way when I watched it. I was genuinely shocked and horrified. I think Moss was brilliant in that scene and she probably saved it from being absurd and cartoonish.

I think the story needs to wrap up with Don's past catching up to him. With army police pounding on the door of his office he needs to take a header out the window xD

Oh man, I loved this episode. The way that Don and Peggy rekindled and danced; nearly brought a tear to my eye.

And when Don described his strategy -- yelling at underlings, then taking a nap -- the way she smiled in acknowledgement was priceless.

Alison Brie! One minute of screen time. And Bob Benson. Loved the final scene in the diner. So, the burger chain disappeared in the early '80s according to Google.

Next week is the "mid-season" finale...
