Madden 10 League for Xbox 360

I am going to have to bow out of the league. Maybe I'll catch the next one. Some uncontrollable circumstances have come up that is going to put me without internet at home for a few weeks and possibly longer. If you want to boot me that is absolutely fine. I understand. Damn, what an ugly game. It seems like all I have is ugly games these days.

Unbeknownst to me, Wayne was knocked out for 9 weeks in the last game, which was a simmed game. :disgust: I didn't realize it and was throwing all sorts of deep passes and then I realized it wasn't him.

I won 28-14 with Manning throwing 4 TDs but also 4 INTs, which is rare for me. 2 of those INTs were returned for TDs, which were the only points the Seahawks scored. My D is fine, but I need to work on my offense. This was my first game of Madden in nearly 2 weeks, and the rust really showed.

What happens if a game does not get played? Does it just get simmed? yowolabi / runningman24 and I tried to play a few nights ago, but it kept dropping connection. On the third try we made it all the way to the fourth quarter and it dropped again. On my screen it said he quit and on his I think he said it lost connection or something along those lines. I didn't see him online the past couple of days so we haven't had a chance to play again.

Well I just had my ass handed to me by Joe and the Chargers. My head wasn't much into the game (groggy), but then again, I think he was out all night partying and was probably a bit hung over, so we were even there. But damn, the the game really screwed this guy. Sproles and Gates were both injured AND a glitch in the game put a touchback by the Steelers on San Diego's 30 yard line. Don't know wtf that was all about. Plus, there was a face mask and a holding call against SD on kick returns, as well as a chop block against them on a TD run. In light of all the crap that went against Joe, I actually declined the penalty that scrubbed the TD run and gave it to him. The game ended 43 - 25 (or something like that) when it should have been 80 - 6.

Good game, Joe. Not looking forward to playing you again! You cut me off at the knees when you shut down Willie Parker.

Got a sim loss since I didn't get to play. That kinda stinks. My team will probably lose every single sim game this year.

Yep, it is unfortunate that if you're available to play but your opponent isn't, you have to take your chances with a sim. I won my only simmed game this year, BUT I also lost Reggie Wayne for 9 weeks due to an injury in that game.

EA should've given the commissioner the option to mark someone as away so you could at least play the CPU. Heck, for me, it isn't about the wins -- I need the practice.

Agreed. The commish has virtually no control over the league at all, aside from sending invites and booting players.

But from this point forward (see new note in OP), players who are MIA as of noon Saturday in the current week will be temporarily booted at their opponent's request, so said opponent isn't at the mercy of the sim. The booted opponent may return whenever they want to. This isn't a punishment at all... just a way to play the CPU when your opponent is gone.

Ugh, I am really getting sick of the offense on this game. The Robo CBs are really starting to piss me off. I am seriously considering going back to Madden 09.

Oddly enough, CPU QBs can throw balls right into Bob Sanders' hands multiple times in the same game and he won't get a single INT.

Adjust the difficulty sliders to meet your ability, then change them as you get better. I pick off the CPU all the time on all-pro, but also get picked quite a bit. Chances are you just aren't making smart throws or your guys aren't open. Yeah the game cheats a bit, but I think it's personally blown out of proportion and the friends I know that claim the same thing just are throwing in bad spots.

Any update on removing Abel007 from the league? I'm scheduled to play him this week and would like to get my game in against the CPU before the weekend. Right now, the team is still owned by him so all it will let me do is attempt to invite him to the game.

First, let me say, I am still winning the games. It isn't like I am throwing 10 INTS per game and losing them. I do make bad throws at times, I won't deny that. But I've played Madden since 97 and can't remember an edition where putting touch on a pass was this hard. Last year, I could drop passes in all sorts of tight spots. Not this year. Many times, I make a bad throw or hit the wrong button on the game pad and it is an INT.

I also pick the CPU off a ton (in a 3 game series with the Dolphins, I picked Pennington off 17 times). I was just complaining about the specific instance I observed with Bob Sanders. With that being said, passing is harder than it should be in my opinion.

Honestly, in 09, I did not notice the CPU cheating. But I definitely notice it in 10.

Anybody seen Cuda, the Cowboys owner? It looks like he hasn't been online since the 16th. Honestly, waiting until Saturday won't work for me if I don't get a chance to play my opponent. I have a wedding to go to this weekend and kid's soccer game. I have been on every night and not been able to play due to not having an opponent online.

Could we get everybody to post their general/usual availability so we can get an idea ahead of time for our opponents? We are in week 5 and I have only had the chance to actually finish one online game. It looks like I may miss out this week too.

My times: Usually available Monday-Saturday after 830 or 9 central time. Saturday and Sunday during the day I may be randomly on, but its really hit or miss.

Cuda, The only other time I am going to be able to play this week is Friday night. Let me know.

I am generally available most nights after 8:00 PM EST. I prefer to play later in the week but can play earlier in the week if I need to. Sundays generally aren't good due to the real NFL games being played.

Oh, and I will be out of the country from 11/25 through 12/9. So with any luck, I can play one game earlier in the week that 11/25 falls in and another game later in the week where 12/9 falls, so I will hopefully only miss 1 actual game.

I'm officially the worst Madden player alive. 0-4 baby woot!. Lost to the AI 44-14 or something. 7 INTs. At least I get Mcnabb back next week, I think so maybe I won't lose by quite as much.

I play my first game against an actual human tonight and I don't expect it to be pretty. I've only played a couple of games in the last couple of weeks so I expect to be beaten pretty soundly. Without Wayne, I am probably in deep trouble.
