I remember that playing Madden on SNES. You can go off screen, set target on the opposing QB, super tackle and destroy him after the play. Then the medical cart would come in and truck him away. Good times.

I remember a madden for SNES in the early 90's (I can't remember which) where "Emmit Smith sweep left" was basically God mode.

I played a playoff and ran nothing but that play and he ended up with like 1700 yds and 40 TDs.

i know, sucks. I downloaded blitz hoping it would be as fun as it used to be on PSX/N64. It was horrible, and the announcers constantly plug madden.

Not even a huge hockey fan, but i love playing nhl 12 for the most part. The AI gets annoying, because the computer is really dumb sometimes, but otherwise a really fun game, even if you dont like hockey. Unlike madden, where i feel like people just play because theyre football fans, not because the game.

Speaking of old classic bugs in football games: Joe Montana Sports Talk Football (Genesis) had an awesome bug where if you played with two players on the same side, then went to do a kickoff (wouldn't work on punts), have player 2 hit the C button (for Dive) and he can constantly dive forward over and over and over. Kick the ball off and insta-tackle the returner since you're standing next to him .

no. ea wont hold onto the license forever. and as long as sega is around they will be waiting for it. can you imagine how eager that production team is to make a new nfl 2k game? the moment they can im sure they will jump all over it and likely produce a new football game that makes a joke of madden.

well the games have been out on less and less consoles, so makes sense that sales have dropped in that regard alone.

My son loves Madden, just picked up Madden 12 at Best Buy last week when they had a 1 day sale where it was $10, heh.

EA is a pretty shit company, but not anymore than most other corporate run publishers.
