It's supposed to be released for PC today but there are rumors that it's delayed to the 22nd. I cant find a solid answer anywhere but it wasnt in stock at my local Walmart or Frys. It might be available later at EBgames is what Ive heard.

I called my local EB today where I have it preordered, and they said with hesitation that they'll have it tomorrow. If the ship date was going to change, it would have changed by now. I'd look for it tomorrow. Not even EA is stupid enough to announce a delay on the day everyone is heading to the store and pick it up.

HAHA you assume too much for EA. Granted this is Madden and not something like NBA LIVE that they jerk around every year

Yep, I got all psyched that it was gonna come out today, and went to EB on my lunch to see if it's in since they NEVER call me on my pre-orders only to hear "i THINK it's supposed to ship tomorrow".

Gamestop says that it supposed to ship today and be on the shelf at noon tomorrow.

Thing that impressed me most? Framerate. It looks like it runs at 60fps almost all the time. Not many games can do that anymore now that I've got this 2405FPW. Also a relief to know that I don't need to upgrade my 6800GT just yet.

Other than that, it's just what you'd expect out of any Madden game. Great, as always.

I have a Nyko AirFlo, Saitek P3000, and 3 Gravis Aftershocks sitting in a package on my doorstep (yay woot!). I've tried just the AirFlo, worked perfectly, and I actually noticed a decent improvement over 2005 which (for me) had a lot of bugs using gamepads.

Agreed, it looks like it runs pretty damn smoothly. But then again, the PC version seemst to based off the old PS2 engine, so if it didn't run smoothly, I'd be worried.

Anyone having problems with their camera at a res of 16x9? With my 2005fpw, the ratio is 16:10, but no resolution available of 1680x1050, just 1600x900. The 16x9 res makes all my players look squished vertical wise, and I don't like it.

Any fixes to this yet?

guess I could reply to my own thread.... I just find it disheartening that with the market cornered EA can't do more than this. I know they are pouring into the 360 titles, but common. 05 really doesn't offer much more than 04 or 03 did. Guess how much can you really improve on a pretty polished turd. Why not included voice chat on PC? WHy not beef up the gfx A TON?!?! Why not include a more detailed franchise mode? Ah well.. we're stuck with these bozos for 4 more years I guess.

I'm thinking about competing in the Madden challenge to win $100,000. The problem is I'm not familiar with the Madden games nor football in general. Strategy-wise is there any advantage/disadvantage in choosing a particular team or are they all equally competitive in the game? Should I practice with the Eagles since McNabb is Madden mascot this time around.

What makes a madden pro gamer? Is it knowing each team's weaknesses and strength?

The tournament will be played on xbox but I'll be practicing on the PC since I don't own an xbox. Hopefully, the layout is the same.

Good luck with that. If you want to be the BEST, you have to know EVERYTHING about football, teams, players, strategies, plays, controls, etc.....
