It is very possible that I just completely suck at this game.

I usually play with Seattle. What bothers me is that I feel like I get sacked 9 times out of 10 on pass plays. If the guy I'm playing blitzes me, it's over. Does Seattle's line suck in this game, or what am I doing wrong? It seems like the only time I don't get sacked is when he has nobody blitzing... And no, I don't take forever to get the ball in the air.

Anyone have any help for me? Or does somebody wanna give me professional Madden lessons?

I am still learning as well, I did notice that the line hasnt been doing well against the Raiders and the Bucs on the pro level. Doesnt really make sense since both of those teams suck. I am being told to practice practice practice.

the raiders defense *does not* suck. it was ranked 3rd last year.

Develop your 'pocket presence'. Trust your line to protect and step up in the pocket. Usually where I see people get into trouble is when they try to roll out, or scramble out of the pocket instead of simply stepping up (to let the pocket develop naturally around you) to throw.

edit: If they are blitzing the MLB or a safety you can't do this and must look for a quick out. Learn to read the defense and take what it gives you.

Only because teams played their 3 stringers against them.

I was watching my friend play a game online last night. He was sacked 9 times and Eli Manning was knocked out of the game early. He lost to the Cowboys. His opponent would drop back like 10 or 15 yards before even looking to pass the ball. I never saw anyone drop back so far.

When I used to play the older versions and was sacked a lot, I'd line up in a shotgun formation with a back on either side of me. Then I'd audiblize hotroutes so that the 2 backs would stay with me and block the bumrushing corners or linebackers. It did not always work and I don't know if you can still do that in the new version.
