Don't be scared! I did my orginal PSX and my ex-neighbors and it was a cinch. As long as you are smooth with a soldering iron, no sweat (at least that's how us old schoolers would do it). How are mod chips put on now-a-days?Originally posted by: Thorin78
Do they offer to mod the ps2 for you?
Modding a PSX is nothing like the PS2. I could do a PSX in my sleep (ok, less than 20 mins). The only PS2 I've done was a V7 and it took me like 4 hours. It would have been faster if that's all I concentrated on, but it was still a bitch. It took me about 5 or 6 tries (close to an hour) to get 4 wires (M, N, O & P) connected without bridging them (last time was the charm). The rest of the wires were easy.
