There's a long thread over on FW about this player. Didn't look to positive. When I tried to order one a couple of weeks ago, they were out of stock. I think that may have been a good thing.

I am not sure if anybody is still making dual sacn LCD now. It could be the other lo-priced LCD used on some low-end Toshiba laptop a while back( can't remeber what it is called (Hi-Performance something?) but screen looks OK for video). It looks fishy to me when they only compare the screen size but never mention if it is a TFT.

I decide to take the risk and ordered one, just pray that it is a TFT screen.

Order looks good and I haven't received any back-order notice yet.

If this thing is as nice as it looks, they're gonna feel the full force of the AT effect. Let's us know as soon as you get a chance to review it.

These showed up on t he site about 4 days ago. Just food for thought. I have e-maild the company asking some questions asked here, and should get the answers tomorrow.

Don't bother, it's a scam. I ordered from them, they charged my CC right away. Nothing happened since then. Email and phone calls querying order status and shipping date to them went nowhere Finally I sent an email to giantweb who charged my CC telling them I am pursuing further actions. Then this guy named Matt jumped out sending an email claiming that they exprienced a technical difficulty with the "container" of the dvd units (don't laugh, that's what he said) and they decided to stop shipment on all orders. Meanwhile the website is still taking orders.

Update: They do however refunded the money two weeks after I threatened to take actions. So I guess its just a free trip for my money to they pockets for two weeks.

Merlink plesase update your thread title with this updated information so no one else will jump to it as I did. Thanks.

Container problems may be real. All the west coast ports have been shut down for a week because of a labor dispute - anything from Asia has to come in through Mexico or via air.

That was two weeks before the west coast shut down.

Here's the email I received. You be the judge.

What is the cheapest player that will play all these formats that I can find in a store? I don't wish to go through the hassle of shipping.
