Mainboard and not motherboard

I prefer to call it a mainboard. It is a dead object.

It's incredibly sexist, why is it not called the Parentboard or Fartherboard? Why do women have to do all the hard work of connecting the different components and looking after them all?

Motherboard makes sense if you consider as that which comes out it, uses female connectors. I don't know. But that gets weird considering that daughterboards plug into the motherboard.

In some electronics systems there is even something called a daughter board, and it is usually inserted into the motherboard while other things can be inserted into the daughter board.
