I'm worried too. I believe the Republican party has become diseased and that the fear of the other is often color based. I am happy to think they will be thrown out of office as this becomes more and more obvious. But where this can and does lead is to turning the Republicans as individuals into a stereotyped group to be looked down on as if they were the N word. Looking at anybody in that party as if they were automatically racists is just as evil as what racists claim about minorities. If I had to pick between utility and morality, I think I would prefer the latter.

Well, to be fair to the racist (even though he doesn't deserve it) I think he cited the illegitimate children being left behind that will need to be supported by the state as his main reason. If you know anything about Le page's platform, cutting tax payer funded aid to those in need was what gave his life meaning, such as it is. That and he's somehow incapable of promoting racist policies because he adopted a black kid.

Guy is such a joke. He may be from Maine, but he belongs in Florida. My hope is that ranked choice voting starts to catch on there too, right in his fat ignorant face.
