Maintenance on cold air intake?

I am a car noob, and have my first fun car (Mustang Bullitt). Engine wise, it's stock minus a C&L cold air intake. I just was wondering what kind of maintenance I should be doing/thinking about on the intake?
Like I said, I know a very dumb question but I just want to ensure I take care of my car properly. Thanks all.

What year is it? 2006? If so, clean the throttle body often. As far as the intake, just go buy a K&N cleaner kit, read instructions and follow them.

Make sure you change the CAI injector fluid every 10,000 miles and the outer bearings need to be rotated side to side every 15,000 miles, the inner ones every 20,000 miles.

If it's an oiled CAI then you can just buy a kit that has a cleaner and oil. Clean thoroughly, let dry, and don't over oil it.

Your engine can only accept a finite amount of air. A CAI is not a supercharger or turbocharger and cannot force any more air into your engine than a stock OEM airbox. The K&N type air filters let in a massive amount of dirt. Just hold a clean K&N up to the light. You can see lots of holes in the filter, holes that dirt can get through. Lots of research has shown that these K&N type filters let in lots of dirt to your engine.

Go and find a factory airbox if you intend to keep your car for more than a few years.

It looks like the C&L changes the MAF diameter, so if you just go put a stock one back on your ECU will be completely un-calibrated to the different MAF. It also looks like the intake is giving you real power gains, 17ish whp on a 170 stock '96 engine is pretty darn good. Looks like you should be cleaning it every 25k. I wouldn't ditch it, at least not without some careful consideration. Worst-case I bet you can change the oiled filter out for a paper filter.
