Tell the first job it will take a little longer for you to relocate than you origainally thought and ask them if they can wait another week or two.

Then chase the second job.

I'd go for the west job. It sounds like that's the one that you want, and if you live somewhere that you don't like, you'll never be really happy. What if you meet a girl in the Midwest and she wants to settle down there? You'll be stuck there.

If you get your life the way that you want it outside of work, you'll be happier at work.

HA, the chances of me actually meeting a girl, having the guts to talk to her, and get to a realtionship that might involve settling down are about as good as the chances that I'll be pitching on opening day for the Yankees.
