I expect to make a trip to socal within the next few weeks so ... I can expect usually bad socal weather when I get there.

I'll be down in Newport Coast this weekend eating sushi and shopping for a couple new fishing reels.
The exact track of the storm will hold the key as to which areas in the mid-Atlantic and southern New England are hit with heavy snow, dangerous highway travel and scores of flight delays and cancellations during Friday into Saturday.
The "by me" is the part nobody knows. The weathermen are pretty sure somebody is getting 2 feet, somebody else is getting a foot and somebody else is getting a couple of inches. They just don't know where. Current track is DC gets socked, NYC gets the moderate amount and north and west of that are spared as it goes out to sea south and east. But this is one of those storms where 100 miles makes all the difference. If it turns a little south or goes east a little earlier NYC gets almost nothing and if it turns north early or takes less of a turn east then New York gets the 2 feet and the DC area gets a few inches.
I can see it snowing about 3 inches in Maryland... sorry ass weather forecasters !

It's funny the south is getting all the decent snow falls now days. We barely even have any snow on the ground here. Maybe like a foot or two at most.

it's going to be so bad. last night through this morning was shit show and we only had like an inch of snow, although there was ice mixed in which was causing all of the issues. took me about an hour to get to work this early when i usually get here in under 30 minutes with no traffic and am in by 7. heard 495 is like a fucking standstill too.
and it doesn't help that idiots around here simply do not know how to drive, snow or no snow. it makes it 10000000x worse when there is snow on the ground.
