My store never does 110% pricematching, just matches the other stores price. I went in at first with a web print out of the mouse at OD, they said I need the actual sales paper and that they weren't allow to call the stores(hint hint, useful in the future if another store is no longer in stock of an item!). So I(well, my dad) drove across the street and got the OD sales paper and brought it back to the BB store. Then I got me my $15 mouse with $15 rebate. Now to print out the $10 rebate. The extra few bucks will be worth my troubles of having to drive back and forth. I figure after stamps and gas I'll make $7 .

My local BB sucks, they won't PM from their own stores (They own Music Land which owns Sam Goody, from who I couldn't get a PM).

Anyway, I have had NO luck w/my local BB, its a waste for me to even try...

bb is teh suck.

Over at FAT some are talking about the 29 model isn't qualifid for the $10 MS rebate. Said they called Microsoft and the CSR told him the 29 model isn't in their rebate system but the rebate form (not the one from BB) doesn't say you have to have the 21 model to qualify...any thoughts guys??

Edit:
Just called the MS rebate center myself and the CSR confirmed that D66-00029 is NOT eligible for the MS $10 rebate; only D66-00021 and 22 models are.

I personally wouldn't take the risk; don't know what the rest of you think about this...
Besides, on the rebate form from Staples link it says "...ony original coupons are accepted..." doesn that mean even if the 29 model is qualified we wouldn't get it if we print out the form from website??

Edit2:
After taking another good look of the thread at FAT; some are saying that MS CSR said either model will be accepted but some were told the same thing I got from my phone call to MS rebate center, which is only the 21 model is eligible.

Edit3:
My local BB doesn't have either model so it doesn't matter to me anyway.

I got the 29 version because:
1. I'm confident the rebate will come through. There is NO stipulation on the PDF rebate form that only the 21 and 22 versions will be accepted. MS isn't HiVal or TCARebates. They're not going to cheat their customers when all they ask for on the form is for the purchase of a Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse.

2. I've sent in a lot of printed PDF rebate forms from sites such as Staples and Amazon even though the form says "Original form only", and was never given any problems about it. The fact that these large retailers would even make them available as downloadable PDF clues you in on that it's ok.

3. I want the newer version of this mouse. As I determined earlier in this thread, the 29 version is the newer one.

Does the BestBuy pricematch apply before using the $15 BestBuy instant rebate? I would think that they would only pricematch the totals after both in-store rebates. (9.99 for BB and 14.99 for Office Cheapo) Then, like someone else said before, the BB price would actually be cheaper and they wouldn't price match. Can someone clarify a little more? Thanks.

I went to Milpitas, CA Bestbuy today and they would not PM to OfficeMax because OfficeMax had the D66-00021 and Bestbuy only had the D66-00029. What a pooper! Well I didn't argue; I just bought it at the normal price and am going to send in the $10 and $15 dollar rebates. I think I got the D66-00021 a while back with a Microsoft Internet Keyboard Pro for $30 AR at Amazon.com and the mouse would not work on my Dell Dimension XPS T500 and my sister's eMachine 466id. I'm happy with getting the mouse for $2.06.

The 29 version is NOT the 6000fps version.

I couldn't find a printed Office Depot ad anywhere, not even in the store.
Was this mouse in the OfficeMax printed ad for $19.95? On their website it's $24.95.

Do ALL Best Buys require a printed ad to PM?

People keep saying the 29 version is the old one, but if you look at the box the mouse came in, it has something like this
2002 Microsoft All rights reserved or something like that, (I dont have the box anymore but I do remember that part) that means the mouse was manufactured some time in 2002! So I think that makes it the new one!

BB is very very SUCK.

last time I found a DC Canon G2 at bestbuy shown price is $659. I ask them to buy one. They said they had sold out and asked me come back after 2 days. But I still saw several there. And after 2 days I came back they jump the price to $799.
I am in San Francisco Bestbuy.

Bestbuy means bestCheat

Yes the light for the mouse will stay on with the newer motherboards that have constant power supplied to them. I ran into this on all of the new ASUS motherboards. It kind of freaked me out for a second. Wanna have some fun pull the power cord the light will stay on for a few seconds as it bleeds the power supplies capacitors. Freaky! I know I'm a geek.

thanks, got me one today.
The whole process took only about ten minutes too. And the sales rep was all smiles, quick and even thanked me for bringing in the ad. Plus, they gave the 110% and refunded me the tax difference too.

27.05 including tax
-11.91 pm 110
-15 mir
-10 mir
= who cares, i'm making money.....

The 29 version also has year 2002 printed on the mouse itself.

It's becoming very clear that it's the newer one. It's not like MS numbers their model #, lot #, serial #s etc. all backwards. I don't know why some people are still saying 21 is newer than 29, but not providing any sort of information to back up their claims.

Yeah I tried going to BB today, they gave me crap about the instant rebate and it already having a MIR. Still, I might get it and use the rebates here so that I just end up paying tax...

Then maybe I'll boycott BB.
