Haha, that's not that bad. I have a modded case with Cold Cathodes in it. When I turn off the power and pull the plug out, they spark to life for a split second then die out. It's really fun! Not really, but ok

My best buy gave me the 14.99 price but wouldn't give me the 10%of the difference (1.00), but making 10 instead of 11 is still good

I always go to customer service because the pricematch policy is printed above thier heads. (the big gray sign that is on the wall) If they try to give you some guff then just have them read the policy to you.

I always thought of the same thing too, but last time when I try to PM, they told me that they don't PM like special promotions, and stuff like that....even though I have the receipt from the store I am trying to PM to and it clearly show the price, then the CSR told me that it's their policy....so I asked for a copy of the policy and want to see where it stays that.....she gave me a copy of the policy they have on the wall and claims it's in there.....after reading through, I couldn't really find what she was saying, so then she told me, it's included in the "see store for detail" part of the policy, I was like...hmm, this doesn't mean anything...and asked if that means they can simply change their policy any time they want and claim that to be "see store for detail" part, she said YES.......... no more BB for me......

Here's a link for the AD. Here

BTW: I printed out a copy (just the section dealing with the mouse) of the AD and took it BestBuy. Im glad I did, because the sales-lady tried to give a hard time saying it was from OD's website. I said it's a partial copy of the flyer and pointed out the page number in the lower left corner. I made the mistake of asking for the 110% PM at checkout....all I got was the 100% PM, and the sales-lady wouldn't give me the rebate. She asked me if I'd rather have the rebate or the PM....I chose the PM. I asked how could I get the 110% PM and she said if I would have bought it, and then come back the next day (her example), I could have got it. It seemed like a bunch of BS to me, and I felt like telling her so, but I took my PM and left. Gonna send in the 2 rebates and hopefully all goes well.

Oh Yeah.....Great board you guys have here. From reading some posts, I've bought a CD-RW drive, and a mouse today, and will hopefully get paid $11.42 for doing so. I can't wait for the next great deal....

I got in the deal. I walk into the store, strolling down the aisles, found a shelf where mouses should be empty. But if you look behind the other mouses, some idiots think its funny to hide the cheap mouses behind expensive mouses. I get the mouse and "donate" the

Money to Microsoft for a 5 dollar mouse = 24.99
Money to California people for lazy people on welfare, prisoners, and drug addicts = 2.06
Best Buy takes away from me 27.05

I walk out of the store, and I rip the rebate off the receipt and put it in my pocket like some kind of a crook.
I make of the receipts at the nearby Staples, before people at Best Buy steal my receipts and write junk on my receipt.
I go back to the store.
I go to the customer service desk. I wait for 10 minutes and meet this young college student and tell her I saw this mouse cheaper at some other place and I want my money back NOW! I give her the office depot ad, and my receipt that I just got and made copies of. Dazed and confused, she quickly says that not the same mouse you {stupid}. I say yes it is, she says she's not sure. So I give her the actual box, she replies, oh, damn it is the same mouse. She goes to the manager, then she comes back. Tries to fool me and inputs 19.99. I say wtf, and she tells her that the office depot is selling the mouse for $20, I say no {bitch}, it clearly says 14.99, she backs off and I win. I get 11 dollars back from Best Buy, and 91 cents back from California. Then I ask for my ad back, she says she "lost it" without even looking for it. I say this is a horrible service, she answers we're sorry. My silent response was a vulgar one, but who cares. Then she looked at the security guard, and before I walked they checked my bags and my receipts to make sure I was not a thief. Then the guy gave that kind of look "You passed this time", watch out.

Serious question, their policy is to reduce 10% of the price( 110% pm) right? So
$14.99 * .10 = 1.50
-1.50
13.50!!!
They robbed me of 50 cents, so they pm like 107% of the price, not 110%, only frugal people like me notice these things...I just want your confirmation that I am correct, and I am not a victim of fuzzy math.

Anyways I send a letter to Best Buy, saying I want my 15 dollars back, and a letter to Microsoft saying that I want my 10 bucks back. Leaving me with a mouse and a pile of money, well only 10 bucks, but it was fun! {Reality TV, only there was no tv}
Please reply I do want your input on that 107% Policy, no one has addressed it yet for some reason

110% of the difference which is ($25-$15=$10),
so you should get $11 back, and final price is:
25-11=14

Ismisus huh?

You pay $24.99? Get $11 back? That sound correct. It 10% of the difference?

Actually I have no idea, my BB only PM 100%, I don't get an extra dollar.

oh ok I get it, the difference between the prices not the actual price itself. Sorry, it appears to be my fuzzy English reading skills that are at fault, not fuzzy math

Anyone know for sure if the older mouse '00029' is eligible for the MS $10 rebate?
As BB needs certain product info for their $15 rebate and MS needs similar info what is the best way to submit these rebates?

Thanks,
Walleye

This is the LAST DAY you can take advantage of this deal, so anyone who wants one better hurry up!
I went by Best Buy today and had no trouble getting them to PM the Office Depot ad. She only did a PM, not a 110% difference, but I'm not gonna complain.
While I was at OD looking for their sales flyer, I dropped by to see if they had the mice in stock. They had both the D66-00021 mice and D66-00029 mice. The 29 mice are NEWER, as I had suspected. The 29 mice have Copyright 2002 on the box. The 21 mice have Copyright 2001 on the box.

Although the 21 mice have the $10MIR form right on the box and the 29 mice don't, the forms you can get online say the rebate is for "Microsoft Optical Wheel Mouse". Since the 29's go by that name too, I don't see why you couldn't get the rebate. But even if you can't, you really can't complain if you were successful with the PM as the mouse will just cost tax and that's it (99-cents for me).

Well, I did PM to Compusa flyer today. It showed the mouse is 14.99 after 5.00 instant rebate. So the price will be 14.99 + tax about 0.90 - $15.00 rebate that print out = .89 cents for great replacement mouse. I have no complain. I saw there were a lot of that mouses in BestBuy Orange CT.

I did PM at CS counter though since the cashier asked me to go over there. It took me less than 5 minute to finish the transaction.
