I got in the deal. I walk into the store, strolling down the aisles, found a shelf where mouses should be empty. But if you look behind the other mouses, some idiots think its funny to hide the cheap mouses behind expensive mouses. I get the mouse and "donate" the
Money to Microsoft for a 5 dollar mouse = 24.99
Money to California people for lazy people on welfare, prisoners, and drug addicts = 2.06
Best Buy takes away from me 27.05
I walk out of the store, and I rip the rebate off the receipt and put it in my pocket like some kind of a crook.
I make of the receipts at the nearby Staples, before people at Best Buy steal my receipts and write junk on my receipt.
I go back to the store.
I go to the customer service desk. I wait for 10 minutes and meet this young college student and tell her I saw this mouse cheaper at some other place and I want my money back NOW! I give her the office depot ad, and my receipt that I just got and made copies of. Dazed and confused, she quickly says that not the same mouse you {stupid}. I say yes it is, she says she's not sure. So I give her the actual box, she replies, oh, damn it is the same mouse. She goes to the manager, then she comes back. Tries to fool me and inputs 19.99. I say wtf, and she tells her that the office depot is selling the mouse for $20, I say no {bitch}, it clearly says 14.99, she backs off and I win. I get 11 dollars back from Best Buy, and 91 cents back from California. Then I ask for my ad back, she says she "lost it" without even looking for it. I say this is a horrible service, she answers we're sorry. My silent response was a vulgar one, but who cares. Then she looked at the security guard, and before I walked they checked my bags and my receipts to make sure I was not a thief. Then the guy gave that kind of look "You passed this time", watch out.
Serious question, their policy is to reduce 10% of the price( 110% pm) right? So
$14.99 * .10 = 1.50
-1.50
13.50!!!
They robbed me of 50 cents, so they pm like 107% of the price, not 110%, only frugal people like me notice these things...I just want your confirmation that I am correct, and I am not a victim of fuzzy math.
Anyways I send a letter to Best Buy, saying I want my 15 dollars back, and a letter to Microsoft saying that I want my 10 bucks back. Leaving me with a mouse and a pile of money, well only 10 bucks, but it was fun! {Reality TV, only there was no tv}
Please reply I do want your input on that 107% Policy, no one has addressed it yet for some reason
