Man, just goes to show you, whenever a deal comes along that you even *might* think about getting in on, print out ALL of the pertinent stuff then and there - later on it might be different.
Similar thing happened to me when I bought a Motorola V60 cell phone from Amazon. They changed the rebate a couple of days later. Amazon was very nice and faxed a copy of the correct one to me, but still.....
Hey, anyone notice that the $10 one going to TDK (MM021) requires the ORIGINAL store reciept - what up with that?? You may very well need that receipt if you have a problem with the product down the line. I didn't think rebate houses could demand an original anything besides the UPC. I went ahead and sent mine in becuase I got CC to PM to CUSA, so I only paid $10 up front, but still...

When I went to CC to ask them to PM, the CSR first said that CC's price was less after rebate. I told him I don't do rebates because they take forever and are unreliable. I told him if he wouldn't PM, I'd just go to CUSA (in the same parking lot) and buy them there. He went to speak w/ a manager and came back and said it was o.k., but THEN, I watched him do the PM and he made sure that the rebate receipts/forms didn't print out. He THOUGHT he was sly, but oh no, sitting in my car were all THREE rebate forms, which today went off to the fulfillment centers.
Man, why do these stores even try to do stuff like this when the info. is posted on their own websites? It's just silly.
