As written, depending on which version passes, this tax reform bill puts extra money in my pocket every year. Our money earned by our efforts and I actually get to keep more of it. The fact that lefties are crying because this tax bill doesn't steal more of our money and spend it on bullshit is just icing on the cake for me. I'll even dedicate a fishing trip to Colorado or Wyoming and a trip to Crazy Horse if it passes to all my lefty friends.

Let's go back to President Ray-gun and his tax breaks, economy did "BOOM" as expected (not as promised) and the deficit went into the Trillions. What is that about doing the same thing over and over expecting different results? OH, insanity.
What about that amnesty package those Republicans came up with under his leadership? Too bad congress won't do the job that other American's want done.

As did Obama. Hope and change quickly became more of the same. All Presidents find the art of governing far thornier than the adoration of campaigning. Sanders would have done just fine.

THIS IS DIFFERENT!

I don't believe we have ever seen anything as horrible as this bill. I know what the professional economists say about the consequences. This is a bill designed to increase suffering and poverty period. It is a malicious and frankly evil robbing of the working class and retired Americans to benefit the most privileged class. It is a giant fuck you to voters and the timing looks to coincide with the destruction of the internet by the same cabal. This is perhaps the darkest year in American history since 911.

Just fine as in more of the same? Or just fine as in he would have been more successful than all the previous presidents you just claimed who find governing thornier than campaigning?

Do you read your posts out loud to yourself?

Well, if you hear it from the Repubs in Congress, it's the despicable obstruction by the Democrats that's preventing them from freely deregulating Wall St. and the banking industry who are both severely suffering from the restraints placed on them by the Democrats. If only the wholesale deregulation of those businesses would occur the trickle down effect would turn into a waterfall of increased wages and prosperity for the middle class and the poor. Along with those huge tax cuts for the middle class and the poor that Trump and his fellow Repubs promised them with this tax reform package they will pass, why, America will become the strong and powerful world class democracy it was always meant to be.

That bunch of stinking bullshit aside, the biggest problem I see if it ever becomes law is that the Dems won't be able to reverse any of it for fear that their own big donors will balk and walk from them and the Repubs are banking on this to keep that from happening.

I actually sing them to myself in a gutteral Nordic death metal voice.

A President Sanders is pure speculation, but he did have the weight of a generation behind him that has the potential of socially changing our country perhaps more so than even the Boomers did in the 60s.

But in their infinite wisdom, the Dems instead nominated an uninspired Clinton.

It's a tax bill, get over it. In a few years or whenever, a new one will be passed and it'll be another story.

This might be the closest thing to admitting how bad the Republicans have shit on this country that I have ever seen from you. While the sane ones can just flat out say it is clear evidence that Republicans don't care about their constituents, I applaud you for at least going this far.

I wonder if the North Koreans can look at their dear leader and think to themselves... "Well if he does decide to attack the U.S., the good news is that in just 50 years the fallout should be gone and any of us who survive can start fresh."

It's giving the lootocracy the keys to the treasury. We'll borrow an extra $1.5T to give most of it to the wealthiest people in America. We'll offset that partially by raising taxes on the middle class & cutting benefits for those who need them the most.

It's FYGM right to the short hairs.

LMFAO!!! I can't believe they let this guy on Fox. Absolute and complete pwnage on a monumental scale. He is worth millions and he explains how the Republican tax plan will cut his taxes in HALF, Absolutely devastating. I applaud those with wealth who have actual empathy for those less fortunate than themselves and are not corrupt and evil enough to convince simple minded Republican voters that billionaires looting the treasury is good for middle class folk.

Harry Reid opened the Pandora's box, these are the consequences.

Also, Reagan in 86, tax reform went through 18 months of deliberation and yet liberals still bemoan trickle down.

30 years later, trickle down has proven to be a failed policy.

I think that most babies understand how trickle down works quite well. Executive compensation has increased dramatically during the time since Reaganomics and will only grow larger now that the republicans are proving what group of people are the most important to the them.

No sense with personal attacks.
I patiently await and enjoy watching and hearing their cries of horror when they realize they've been had by Donald Trump. But more so had by the career politicians, republicans like Mitch McConnell, Chuck Grassley and yes John McCain.

Better yet.... ask yourself this as a middle class citizen...
Do these republicans in the US congress REALLY care about what the little guy and gal, the middle class mom and pop, of what their needs and desires are?
Or, do they only care about the needs of their own pockets.
Does anyone really truly believe that this tax "thing" is about helping the middle class?
Really? Really?
Where were you born, under a rock?
Is this really about helping YOU, or all about helping the banks and the multimillionaire children such as Donald Jr, Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany, and Barron.

Look at it this way...
Once again trickle down has or will be the law of the land.
That means huge national debt.
But that probably doesn't mean much to most people. The debt is just numbers, figures on a neon board.
What will hurt is when these republicans in Washington and your local governments start raising your local taxes, and while also cutting state benefits.

What does that look like to you?
Well...
Jacked up property taxes.
Jacked up sales taxes.
Higher license fees for registering your car.
Fees fees fees and more state fees coming at you from every direction.
THAT is what national debt looks like and amounts to for YOU.

Medicare? Forget that. Medicaid? Not for much longer. Social security? Don't could on that.
And when the people suffer, THAT creates true trickle down economics which hits locally.
Local business closings, job loss, layoffs, no more road upkeep, the schools crumble.
When the people can not afford to buy the goods, the jobs and business go away.
And when the jobs and business go away, the tax revenues go away..
And if we learned anything from the past we should have learned this.... that when states tax revenues dry up the people must be further taxed by that state.
Taxes increased while at the same time services cut to the bone if not eliminated altogether.

Once again we are going to go thru that hell.
That hell which only democrats like Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama can fix. Assuming there will be a Bill Clinton or Barrack Obama to follow.
What if we don't have a Bill or Barrack to come along?
What if no democrat comes along to fix the mess created by poor republican leadership and by a failed republican ideology?
What then?

You will easily tell come this Monday who really is getting screwed from this republican tax horror.
If the stock market soars on Monday, then you're screwed.
If the banks celebrate on Monday, then you're screwed.
If we see a lot of gloating by millionaires like Trump, then you are surely screwed.
Face facts. Donald Trump just left his kids millions and billions with little if any tax liability.
You will pay for THAT.
And I bet Donald doesn't even give you a reach around. Or for your sake wear protection.

The screwing of the middle class, once again.
And the people still haven't learned a lesson. Amazing....
But what the hell and so be it... right?
I mean, if this is what the people wanted they sure will get it no question about that.
And if that Trump supporter in your family are anything like mine, they will brush this off with saying THEY'RE ALL CROOKS.
No Virginia, they are not all crooks.
Only those trickle down republican basrtards that keep rising from the dead every 15 or so years are the crooks.
And their BACK!

Good gawd this thread is a perfect example of moving the goal posts, whataboutisms, and avoiding the facts.

Seriously.

It's also a perfect example of how a certain segment of the population will defend their irrational fears at all cost.

So what do we have here?

Misinformed people outraged that a brown man wasn't convicted for murder.

Never mind that:

To form intent would require the man be the world's greatest trick shot artist and intended to ricochet the shot into the girl.

That even the prosecutors story of Russian roulette fell apart, and even if true would have meant the shooting was still accidental.

Just never mind the facts. A brown man caused the death of a white woman. We're afraid and mad as hell about it! Since we can't argue the facts, we'll deflect with an irrelevant tax debate.

FFS

I think you are in the wrong thread.
