I'm in a similar situation. I ordered the mice last Sunday, and they haven't arrived yet. I called Staples.com and the CSR said they may get here today (Friday). If not, it will be next week. So I said I guess I should call the rebate center to see how they deal with situation like this and she agreed (of course! Anything to get it off of their plate.)
When I called the rebate center number, it took awhile before the repetitive monotone CSR realized what I was talking about... He kept saying, "This is a rebate center. You need to contact Staples for that information..." (x3)
Anyway, when he finally understood that my items may not arrive before the 7-day expiration requirement, he said (get this), "There is a 10-day grace period." Wow! Did anyone know that? I'm not sure if it will hold water but I am not too worry about it in this case. I'm just wondering if that applies to other rebates as well.
Guys, please don't abuse that information...
