Wow! I placed my order yesterday on both mice and got them both today. That was fast!! So much for worrying about getting them within 7 days. As a matter of fact, this is the only thing that has shown up from my orders so far.

BTW.. I called the rebate center and they said that you can get both rebates..

My Staples Managers are great. If I do not get my rebate because it either never shows after 8 weeks or you get that stupid postcard that states your rebate was invalid for a totally mistaken reason, I bring my papers to Staples and they give me cash immediately out of the drawer

Ordered Sunday, was to be delivered today, yesterday the order status showed canceled due to OOS.

I went to Staples and they had both mice for $14.99. Showed an employee the online price and he said that it was a different mouse since its code started with letters and not numbers, so he wouldn't price match.

edit: I wonder if the normal price mouse is the one that goes with the rebate. Has anyone gotten the cheaper mouse to check if the UPC code is the same?

I think the letters before the numbers denote special order or from where the item ships from. I remember the CSR saying something about Ingram as being their supplier.

BTW.. I bought both mice online to pad an order to get free shipping. I sent both rebates in after a Staples CSR at their rebate center told me that they were absolutely different promotions. About a week later, I get an email saying that one of my rebates was good and the other was denied because they were the same promotion. I called Staple's rebate center back and the CSR validated the second rebate for me on the spot after I told her what had happened.

All I can say is these things are practically worthless. I can't hardly give them away on Ebay. Good thing I'm making a few bucks on them by sending in the rebates.

i ordered the two meeses, mice, two weeks ago on another deal, and got an email saying the micro point II mouse was discontinued and was not going to be sent out, the good thing is that they didn't pull my coupon!

Rejected my stupid rebate. Claimed it wasn't postmarked within 7 days. Staples didn't send them out right away. The rebate ended up at rebatesHQ.com

Guess I need to make a call.

I guess you can call them and try to get them to reinstate it over the phone. Back to the discussion of one rebate per item or per brand, I picked up the physical rebate form at my local store, and it's one form for 5 items (2 mice, 2 keyboards,m one trackball) and it does clearly state that it's limit one rebate per promotion. And of course, the online forms all reference the same department number.

I know most of you have been unable to sleep since I reported that my $10.00 rebate was rejected. Well, Good news! They fixed it after two phone calls. With the first call I made, the person told me they would validate my rebate. With the second call, the person actually validated it.

I'm in a similar situation. I ordered the mice last Sunday, and they haven't arrived yet. I called Staples.com and the CSR said they may get here today (Friday). If not, it will be next week. So I said I guess I should call the rebate center to see how they deal with situation like this and she agreed (of course! Anything to get it off of their plate.)

When I called the rebate center number, it took awhile before the repetitive monotone CSR realized what I was talking about... He kept saying, "This is a rebate center. You need to contact Staples for that information..." (x3)
Anyway, when he finally understood that my items may not arrive before the 7-day expiration requirement, he said (get this), "There is a 10-day grace period." Wow! Did anyone know that? I'm not sure if it will hold water but I am not too worry about it in this case. I'm just wondering if that applies to other rebates as well.

Guys, please don't abuse that information...
