Then again, that's their right. Not everyone is outgoing and resourceful enough to BS their way into politics. I'm sure those 3/4 that you're talking about are contributing in many other ways. What counts is that they're American and they've the right to be involved or not in whatever they choose.

In the meantime, ALL politicians should be cooperating a bit better than they currently are, especially concerning current events. While I don't like Bush (and I'm republican), there's no one out there, IMO, that fits the bill as the PERFECT president. I'll definitely take Bush over Kerry. But, I'm not even gonna vote, since I don't feel like voting for the best of what amounts to a very very mediocre gaggle of candidates. I'm not about to vote for the best piece of dung...I'm not stooping that low.

when the constitution was written both the contration and the possesive form of that word used an apostrophe.

That's interesting. I was thinking that his and hers don't take an apostrophe so it made some sense that its wouldn't either but it should be, then, he's she's and it's. He and she change to his and hers but it is just it and gets an s like any other contracted posessive.
