For anyone reading this thread and pondering getting into DE to save money over cart shaving, DON'T DO IT! There are guys who are exceptions to the rule and do save money. But it'll take me 10 years at this pace to break even with what I was spending on Mach 3 carts. That's a big maybe, I might always be in the hole. Before DE I bought basic $4 shaving gel in a can, didn't have any pre shave anything, didn't have a fancy after shave. No badger brush. I just spend $45 on soap and a dish, last month spend $22 on shaving cream. $35 on a brush (it was a cheaper one too) In the past 30 days I've easily dropped more $$$ on my DE setup than I did in the previous 2 years combine with my Mach 3. And this weekend I'm going to be buying some Art Of Shaving after shave balm.
DE shaving is something that becomes a gateway drug if you enjoy doing it. I'm already looking at other handles to buy and lord knows what else I'll come across I must have. Oh like this!
It's $65 shipped, and in my mind this somehow isn't expensive for a glass bowl lol.
