Possible, as they're now looking at the pilot being the one who hijacked it. Some media reports towards that idea, I'll probably wait 24-72 hours before giving them any credit. Too many reports on this subject have been false.

If it is it made no sense, the pilot family supposedly vanish the day before the flight, if it is suicide, why hide? And if it is, we would have the some debis by now and why turn the plane around? I think there is more of a chance of someone capture the pilot family and use them to blackmail the pilot.

Good point maybe he was trying to find Cthulhu?

What really makes no sense is why the pilot would have ability to turn off the communications systems?

I'd really like to know if there is a reason that these tracking systems can be turned off by people onboard the flight.

I think its funny how the news is painting him having a flight simulation set up on his PC as a possible terrorist training simulator. Looked like a typical 3 screen + HOTAS set up to me, nothing that crazy. They will probably find World of Planes on there and say he was participating in war games.

I agree, but they need any little shred of crap to latch on to. I guess I should go get rid of my own HOTAS/TrackIR/DCS flight sim setup before they come for me.

Hopefully he didn't have Doom or BF on there or they will chalk this up to violent video games.

The media is spreading the stuff about this pilot and then people are picking that up and repeating it. Over and over and over. You don't know a thing and your repeating some BS you heard on TV or wherever. The vast majority of people don't know where Malaysia is or whether its even a country or not yet they are experts on what happened. Unfortunately, these forums play a part in spreading this BS.

Even if he couldn't turn it off, the circuit breaker panel is in the cockpit and systems can be disabled that way.

If anyone is interested in more detailed discussion, my favorite aviation website is currently on thread #30 and each thread runs 275-300 posts before it is locked. Below is a link to the latest thread, at the top are links to previous threads and a summary of what is known.

How long have you lived among the human race? I ask, because you seem to have very little understanding of how people interact with one another.

thanks for the link. good info there.

Some talk there about Christmas Island. seems as promising as anything else assuming no crash and the pilot hijacked the plane

People talk a lot about stuff they do not know. In fact, I would say that is what most of our talks are about - stuff we don't know. That goes for this forum as well.

Please do tell me about this interaction between humans. Is it something more than gossip to fill in the time? Something more than mere speculation? More than wanting to spread one's agenda? I'm asking because you must have better understanding than I.

Can't help. I don't have much to offer the emo community.

I should also add that the Flight Simulator issue is a total non-starter as I suspected. Just about every pilot in those threads has MSFS on their home pc's, and just about every pilot they know does as well.

It means absolutely nothing that the Captain had MSFS, and it is a shame the media even mentions it. They are so starved for fresh info and ratings that anything can and will be repeated.

I'm beginning to think that the movie will be out before the plane is found.

From that aviation site... said:
I posted this yesterday...

One or both pilots are involved.

The passengers probably didn't know anything was amiss and were just settling in for the long red eye flight.

Assuming the aircraft turned and was flying to the NW, they were gaining time (flying into the darkness) which tells us they most likely landed at a military airfield (think Pakistan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia) and concealed the aircraft in a hangar before the sun came up...and well before the public was aware of a missing aircraft.

The plane has already been repainted and will soon be repurposed as a weapon of mass destruction. There's a reason they wanted a heavy (+/-7,500 mile range) jumbo jet and I have a news flash...it's not to sell off its parts or fly it to Switzerland to request asylum.

Potential targets include Tel Aviv (make it look like an Iranian op so that the rest of the world can justify another war) and Washington D.C. because the American regime (and I'm an American) is the biggest exporter of war the world has ever seen.

This is a very well planned, financed and rehearsed government sponsored act...think Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen or Iran.

The aircraft with it's new livery and transponder will (sooner than later) be utilized in an attack that will rival a 9/11 or any other act of terrorism we've ever witnessed.

---

Still think this is fantasy?

Keep your eyes on Tel Aviv...

Speculation now that John Travolta might have some involvement. He has been unreachable since the disappearance of the plane and word on the street is he has experience flying commercial aircraft.

I'm not buying all the hype that it was the pilot. I think it was al-queda. I think they took it down in a fight.

Link to this speculation?

Anyway, Travolta owns a sweet 707 painted in a stunning retro QANTAS livery. He also owns a house where the 707 and his Gulfstream can pull right up to the front. Check it:

The rumor factory is going totally crazy.
And there is a real chance we will never know what happened.
But I suspect major changes to the airline industry in the coming years.
As well as satellite tracking technology.
I find it strange not one passenger could not use their cell phone to call out?
But then again, I don't know of they even had cell coverage to call out.
And if this was sudden, then no one had the time to call out.
Very strange mystery indeed.
