If that's true, then that is absolutely insane. Perfectly doable, too:
1. Reprogram airplane & wait for ATC handoff
2. Slip pilot a sleeping pill
3. Disable ACARS & transponder
4. Disappear to pre-selected location
It would just be a matter of timing & preparation.
Sleeping pill wouldn't work. I've taken every one known to man and they are not instant or guaranteed to make you sleep.
GHB in a drink however would be very effective.

I don't see how deleting flight simulator files means anything. I have flight simulator and delete my flight files all the time to save on HDD space. He seems like a smart guy and if he's anything like me he would have encrypted his HDD.
Why would you think that? What evidence do you have to support this? Just a feeling? The truth is that we don't know and we really don't need to follow every conspiracy theory. We all know it was Aliens. They're here. They're taking people. It could be you or me next.
If he's smart, he should've taken the hard drive with him on the plane.
At 53, I don't think he's very technical, probably left data trails, I think they'll find something on the hard drives.
You're suggesting one pilot date rape the other?!
Kaido is very interested in the sleeping myth. As someone with chronic insomnia, I can tell you there is no such thing as an instant sleeping pill.
GHB would make his theory much more probable but still very unlikely.
Please provide one piece, even the tiniest one, to confirm this.
I would say his interest in computers and his ability to build a flight sim directly disprove what you are saying.
If the cabin door is locked and unable to be opened from the outside without a code, what makes anybody think he didn't just straight up wack the guy w a blunt object? I'm pretty sure they keep an axe in the flight deck for emergency situations.
Wack the co-pilot. Slowly manuver the plane a new direction, as to not alert anybody they are going off course. Fly for the schedule flight time...Crash into ocean. Nobody would ever know anything is wrong until it was too late.
no evidence, just an observation of people his age.

Aren't there youtube videos showing him repairing an air conditioner and other home appliances?

so he's handy, which i expect people of his generation to be, but that doesn't mean he's technically proficient.
my dad(55) is handy with a lot of things, electrical and mechanical, but is completely clueless when it comes to computers.
The overall problem here is that no one theory explains everything we know.
Did you see his flight simulator? He did it himself. Dual 7970 Radeon cards, at least 5 or 6 monitors, etc.
