Yeah $25 a year for 3 computers. The Lifetime is usually $40 for one computer, although sometimes Newegg has it for $25 for a single lifetime license. $15 is a pretty good deal. I'm not sure if most places even offer a Lifetime license anymore, actually.

That's because they're phasing out Lifetime in favor of annual subscriptions. $25 a year every year vs. $40 (or in this case, $15) for support until the end of time...makes good business sense.

They definitely aren't going out of business, at least from what I can tell. I use them for work stuff all the time. I just bought a 200 or 300 license pack for one site & one of the things my rep said is that they're planning on rolling out a cloud-based centralized server this year, which will be especially handy for clients with a lot of employees who travel or work from home (without having to have them VPN in on a regular basis, run an apps server, etc.).

I have 3 lifetime licenses I snagged at various Newegg sale's for $14.95 each over the years.

Very effective program although frankly at $25 a year it may prove tough sale.

Yup. Those are actually the two I prefer when setting up in corporate environments. Avast is great, especially with their quasi-VM SafeZone Chrome browser environment, and Malwarebytes Live reduces a lot of the desktop IT cleanup I'm required to do. It amazes me how much crap people can get on their computers, no matter how much you lock them down

Vipre antivirus offers a lifetime subscription for $80/ea, or $250 for five ($50/ea) or $300/10 ($30/ea)

It's very effective at malware and virus prevention.

I have 5 clients managed with Vipre, deployed and managed via Windows Server. It plugs into active directory and can use its own distribution service or WDS, and I actually prefer its own since WDS is just another thing running...unless you actually use BOOTP to deploy images I leave it off. It's too bad it doesn't plug into WSUS but I suspect there were issues with MS allowing this.

Anyway, if you missed out on this deal check out Vipre. If you have friends and family, buy a pack of 10 and distribute among them for $30/ea.

I've had my lifetime subscription since 2011 (it cost $50 back then) and yes, lifetime means lifetime, not just for the computer or the version. I've upgraded all the way through Vipre 2015 from Vipre 2012.

Everything I've seen seems to indicate that Vipre is for the lifetime of that PC. Secondly, I can't really find anyone on the internet who actually recommends it. Finally, I really have no idea what your post is doing in this thread. That product is in no way a substitute for Malwarebytes.

How annoying is the "always on" feature in terms of interfering with day to day use? I've been using the free version forever, and I've never had an issue because I always manually scan anything I'm even remotely concerned about. But at this price, considering it.
