**A little cursing at the end**

It's only an 18 second clip. It guys motorcycle starts wobbling side to side. I'm surprised that he didn't slow down. I guess he thought that he could regain control.

At first, it doesn't look that bad but then I noticed that he's wearing a shirt with cutoff sleeves. He's going to have road burn for sure.

Man bare arms but a helmet lol. That's a trip to the hospital for sure. Also looks his face being rubbed into the pavement.

I guess there's harder ways to learn about cycle safety, but that lesson will leave a lasting imprint.

That dumbass will have a lot of road rash. Jeans and a t-shirt offer almost zero protection, he might as well be riding naked.

Based on the watermark, it looks like this would be on LiveLeak. Probably doesn’t have the same restrictions as YouTube.

Damn that looked rough. Based on the uploader comments, dude walked away on his own will which was good. He had a jacked up face probably broken nose, blood all over his arm and massive road rash. He also said this guy had been wobbling multiple times over miles of driving which is the reason he broke out the camera. Oh and he also talks about the sirens in the video lol, just a coincidence it's not the police!

Not a motorcycle rider, why does riding with one hand cause the bike to wobble like that and when he did grab the handlebar with his other hand the wobble wasn't all that bad, why couldn't he recover?

It doesn't, and it shouldn't. Some bikes are more prone to getting into these high speed head-shakes but it is usually sport bikes. I'm guessing there was something wrong with this bike.

In any case, once it happens it isn't something you can easily ride out. I've never had that happen to me personally, it is quite rare and it definitely isn't caused by riding with one hand on the bars.

Most proper motorcycles are supremely stable in that kind of situation (smooth, dry, level road, straight riding), there must have been something wrong with the bike. Though if he was still one-handing it after multiple bouts of speed wobble, he's a knob and he at least partially earned that harsh lesson.

Once it starts, I’m pretty sure the gasoline sloshing around in the tank complicates the recovery.

The video says the wobble had happened multiple times already, this was just the last time before he went down. Any wobble like that you should be pulling over and getting off the bike, at the very least be taking side streets to your nearest moto garage.

That could be considered a tank slapper. On sportbikes you either try to ride it out or accelerate briefly to get the front wheel unloaded which sometimes fixes it as well.

When I was a young teenager, we had an older douche teenager who was showing off for another kid who had gotten a new dirt bike. No helmet, no shirt, only a pair of swim trunks. Well he flew off the bike and slid down the road superman-style, arms out front skidding on his stomach and keeping his unprotected head up. It completely tore his nipples off but he recovered fairly well.

Thanks, I had assumed that since he was able to ride out of it multiple times before that it wasn't that difficult but it sounds like after it happened the first time he should have stopped riding or at least limited his speed.

its the POS bike the guy was riding. I ride one handed all the time on the interstate. My BMW has Cruise control and its nice to give one arm a break for a bit. also the road may have been scored with wavy lines and his bike got caught up in the scoring.
