If you're going to cross someone like Obama, you'd bloody better well be sure that everything you do is 100% above reproach. He clearly screwed up. Stupid guy for doing that. Just because the dems get away with corruption is no excuse for you to break the law.

How is it that even when someone clearly breaks the law and admits it you guys are STILL convinced that Obama was somehow behind his prosecution and there was some sort of targeting or nefarious activity afoot?

I'm not implying that Obama is personally behind this. Just saying that D'Suza wenat after him and became a target for doing so. I seriously doubt that Obama would interrupt one of his golf outings to go after D'Suza; there are plenty of people in the admin that would take care of that. I'm sure major critics of other presidents got extra scrutiny too.

On what are you basing the opinion that D'Suza became a target for attacking Obama?

I wouldn't think he was targeted, per se. But I do find it a bit odd.

- The amount is quite small. It seems a bit odd such a small amount would easily pop up on the radar.

- It only involved a very small set of people who I imagine are close to him. I think that would make detection even more unlikely.

I'd like to hear how it was uncovered.

I'd also like to hear if similar small amounts in violation are prosecuted as aggressively. That seems the most likely area (and I'm not saying it is likely) where 'unfairness' could be claimed.

In general I have no problems with him being prosecuted.

The argument that he was selectively targeted was raised in court. The court found no evidence for this whatsoever.

Yeh, anything you can't adequately explain must be a conspiracy, right?

Oh ffs. No conspiracy. No tinfoil hat. Politicians are a vindictive lot. I'm only suggesting that if you poke the bear, you might get bit. You guys way over complicate things to satisfy your sense of superiority. Whatever.

No need to over complicate things for any reason when discussing things with people who jump to the paranoid conclusion consistently.

I'm pretty sure that's the exact argument for everything from Republicans. Even if things have been adequately explained, if they aren't aware of it or are not smart enough to understand it then it's a conspiracy.

Seriously, what are you trying to say?

Did Obama order this prosecution?

Did someone close to Obama order this prosecution?

Did the prosecutor selectively prosecute this individual in an attempt to curry favor with the Obama administration?

What?

You seem to be making vague insinuations of corruption and then when people respond to it you throw up your hands and declare innocence.

Did he break the law or not?

what a dumb fuckin question. it's not about who breaks laws under this administration, it's about who gets (selectively) punished
