where "god" is more like "high(est) emperor"

No one says anything.

It's easy to pick up the habit of saying nothing when you're around a lot of Chinese or in a predominantly Chinese country... unless you're my crazy Christian sister and get all upset that no one says anything.

Reason I asked is that we say "one hundred years old" in Cantonese. We say "bless you" in English, and in German it's "Gesundheit". I had a discussion with my German friend who studies Chinese and the topic came up when she sneezed on the phone.
