At the time, there was a guy called "dennilfloss" who used to claim he was visited by aliens all the time. Personally I think he had psychological problems, although he seemed like a nice guy. Around the time, there was a female member of the forums who he used to see that sadly was hit by car as she was walking...

I used to read Anandtech at my old job, and I was there in 1997/1998, and I joined the forums shortly after.

I think it was 2000ish? I'm bad with dates, but I know Dennilfloss wasn't part of the original crowd here... when he and his crowd were around is around the time I stopped hanging out here so much - it got annoying! :frown:
