The Vikings looked abysmal last night. I know Freeman has only had 10 days with them but the rest of the team looked awful too. Receivers missing catches, Freeman overthrowing, fumbles, lackluster offensive protection and so forth. Feel bad for Peterson.

I understand them wanting to give Freeman a trial by fire, but even he should have been asking to sit so the Vikings at least had a chance to win last night. =(

what a moron. i do hope he appeals it though because the redskins secondary is already 100% suspect and they are going against the broncos on sunday.

I think he is getting "fined" like $71,000 per game by the suspension. At least, that is how much money he isn't getting for missing each game. He has had problems about these hits before and not changed. The suspensions will be upheld (at least a one game suspension) I'm sure.

That was posted yesterday, and no chance he plays next week. At best on appeal he'll get one game off with a large fine added, but given history that is even doubtful although that's probably the reason the league gave him two games incase he got a soft appeal.


Last week sucked for picks, miami, iggles, and vikes screwed me. Worst week so far.

Looking at the team as a whole, I gotta side with the "Trade Peterson" crowd. Trade him off now while he is worth something. Get a bunch of draft picks for him, hope for a solid team in 2-3 years. Going to be playing outside for the next 2 years, so those are a loss anyway.

Ugh, baseball is about as fun to watch as a dog show. They play like 350 games a year (their season is still shorter than hockey!!!). I'd much rather watch a football game than a baseball game, even if it is the world series. When the Chicago Cubs are in the World Series, I might watch it to see if the streak is broken. Otherwise, no thanks.

As a bears fan I can't help but agree. Sad really. They were doing ok a the start of the year, but they didn't have a pass rush.

Now they lost their few linemen that were able to do a little bit, and lost their 2 best linebackers. The bears are done. I think the only thing going in their favor is that the packers are almost just as decimated by injuries, and don't have much of a run game.

Now that cutler is out for 4-6 weeks I'd say stick a fork in them they are done this year.

I am really hoping the Cowboys win, but I am not hopeful. And if as a Cowboys fan has taught my anything, it is never bet on the Cowboys and never bet on the Bills in a Superbowl against the NFC East.

mcowen was doing MUCH better than cutler was on sunday. granted, the skins didn't prepare for him, but still he seems like a very viable qb.

As a Vikings fan, I agree, but we'll never do it. He's our franchise player. Without Peterson, you'll see less ticket sales, less jersey sales, less everything. Even if it's the correct football move, it's probably not the correct business move.

On the other hand, making your team better is still a good business decision.

Honestly, I feel bad for Adrian. He's wasting his career on this dumpster fire of a team. I'm so glad I have fantasy football to keep me interested for the season, because the Vikings sure aren't doing anything to keep me entertained. I washed dishes last night instead of watching the last ~20 minutes of the game and it was more enjoyable.
