It's funny that Calvin Johnson and Dez Bryant were in a twitter battle on which one is better then Calvin Johnson goes out and gets the 2nd most yards in NFL history. lol

And that's funny because Jimmy Graham is playing better than both of them and might well have the best receiving stat lines for the year of the 3 *as a TE*

Calvin's been hurt the past 3 weeks, but you're right. Today, he was in good shape and we have a bye.

He'll be back up there with Jimmy!

Really? That I didn't know, but I heard about Bryant's trash talking. It was a part of the game plan -- get Johnson off to shut Bryant up.

Dallas has still yet to beat a winning team.

This may be dallas's last shot. They have been using every trick to get the most out of the salary cap, but next year they have to take the hit. This years team will be 31 million over the cap next season even without new pay raises. It will be a huge house cleaning.

Nice win Detroit! I though for sure they would lose.

...and LOL @ Dez for even hinting he was even as good as Calvin, and was mad because he didn't get the ball.

I see T.O number 2 in this dude -- tremendous player, but selfish lockerroom cancer.

How would you like him to respond when people are asking him if he is as good as Megatron? "Oh, he is much better than me, but I'm okay being number two." Nobody who doesn't want to be the best is in the NFL.

The best thing is Jerry Rice is laughing at both of them.

LOL CJ already owns one of Rice's records, and this isn't about the best WR of all time....its about the best between Calvin and Dez, which isn't even up for debate right now.

...and Dez was dumb enough to take that bait...he should have just deflected and give the usual "he's a great player, and I respect his abilities" BS answer only to throw another TO-type tantrum when he was woefully outplayed.

Because they can only win at home?

they've been playing against that type so far, this year. Only loss at Indy.

...I don't see them losing to a broken and leaderless St Louis tomorrow, but we'll see I guess.

Kaepernick is now quietly #3 in QBR rating. The guy is simply a beast. When he gets Manningham and Crabtree back, he's going to be simply unstoppable.

No. PFF has him rated in the lower 50%, with a higher then average release time and rating when under pressure. the ONLY thing he excels at is when there is a play action, and his QBR jumps to 110. Otherwise, he is pretty average.

Defenses are adjusting to the QB option play quickly. Its always a nice threat, but it can no longer be relied upon for massive gains and weekly production.

Dallas/Detroit game was awesome. Detroit had 4 turnovers...not sure if Dallas had any? At some point they should probably have covered Calvin. Horrible play in the last few mins by Dallas, reminded me a lot of The Saints playing the Patriots this year, where they just kept giving the ball back to brady over and over again. Playing not to lose = you lose.

Shockingly at the end of the Patriots Dolphins game the Patriots didn't play a prevent defense and therefore they won the game.

Are you talking about Fantasy or real life football? If you actually watch him play, you'll know that once the Niners get back Manningham and Crabtree, Kaep's numbers are going straight through the roof in real life and in Fantasy.

He's already #3 in QBR despite having only Vernon Davis and a slow-ass Boldin.

Dallas' defense gave that game away at the end. Sure, Calvin Johnson is hard to cover, but they simply let Detroit drive. And, they've let 4 different QBs break 400 yards this year. They really need to get their QB pressure up, but with that no name crew on the front, that ain't happening.

Still winning their division though.

The Giants trail the Cowboys by only 2 games in the NFL East.
The pressure is going to be on Tony Romo.

Seahawks are something like 7-2 on the road since December of last year. November is when they opened up the entire playbook to Wilson and let him take over the offense. Seattle also beat the Redskins in their home stadium during the playoffs, and came so close to that comeback in Atlanta.

The whole "Seahawks can only win at home" thing doesn't hold as much water as you might think.

That said, I sure hope the Seahawks do get home field for all the obvious reasons.

For the most part, Seattle has played mediocre competition on the road. The only legitimate playoff team they've played on the road -- the Colts -- beat them. Their other road games:

1. Carolina -- Carolina was struggling to start the season and the Seahawks barely beat them.
2. Houston -- Houston is obviously struggling and Seattle had to rally to beat them IIRC.
3. Arizona -- Mediocre at best.

I really hope not.

I haven't liked the Rams since they were in LA.

When 4 QBs' throw for over 400 yards (which is a record), sometimes it ain't always because Dallas "let" them drive....Dallas simply may NOT be as talented as people think, or maybe you just don't want to give the better teams credit.

I think the latter. Dallas fans are obnoxious

I'd think its a lack of talent since they've yet to beat a winning team, and they're .500 since 96 (IIRC) so they're probably a mediocre team that's highly overrated and overly covered.

Dallas probably will win the division but not because they're good, but because everyone else is freaking terrible.

That's saying a lot about "Americas Team".

Take it easy on cowboys fans. Imagine Millen had the money to buy your team and won't give up control regardless of results. Nearly 20 years of no results. No changes... I use to be a fan myself. Now I watch for the lols.

That's unfortunate, but they need to hope that he will realize that Romo's INT's aren't keeping them out of Superbowls....it's his idiotic moves and refusal to hire a coach with some back-bone.

Nothing is worse than having a combination of being a control freak and relatively ignorant about how to build a winning team.

Jones has a full share of both.

Normally I really hate prevent defense, however the ONE thing it's supposed to do is stop those 40+ yard passes. They didn't...

You know, I don't think any coach worth his salt would willingly coach in Dallas unless he was desperate for a job.

What real coach would want a job where the owner is on the sidelines, talking to reporters, etc after games and commenting on the team's performance?

Why even hire a coach? I was reading some silly criticism about Ford (Lions owner) and about how you don't see him so he doesn't care about the team. Well, maybe since he as GM and coaching staff, he can allow them to make those millions he's paying them count. Or maybe he knows the best way to get results from said hires is to let them do their freaking jobs. :whiste:

This is why Dallas will be a joke organization to play/coach for (and just maybe the Colts) when you have owners who act like idiots and are trying to be celebrities.

Owners should be seen but not heard. You hire a staff, let them coach.
