No debate to braindead fanboys maybe, but plenty to those who have brains. Anyone with half a clue (OP obviously excluded) knows that most football games are decided by defense. Manning didn't impress anyone this post season. Indy won because their defense showed up and made the key stops and because their offensive line allowed the Colts to run the ball effectively. Marino was a much better quarterback than Manning, he just always got stuck on teams with a crappy defense.

The trick is that for the past 2-3 seasons, defenses know this and they continuously play their safetys deep and rush Peyton to take the long threat away. It wasn't really until this season that he started dominating by throwing underneath, over the middle in play action, slants, and utilizing the stretch play constantly to space out the defense.

If you don't think Peyton is good, and say that it was the running game that really gave the offense wings, consider first that 1. it was raining so any aggressive passing game is moot and 2. Peyton calls a significant amount of plays from the line. In the huddle the offensive coordinator (Moore) gives him 3+ plays to give out to the offense, and then he chooses based on the defense he sees. From what little I can recall of Marino's career, he was not nearly as much of a field general as Manning is.
Also, keeping an offense on the field for that much time and consistently engineering drives of 10+ plays like that is a matter of skill. If you don't believe me, just ask Rex Grossman.
If you disagree, give us more than your opinion.
