Are there STILL people that don't believe most pro baseball players use or have used PEDs? If so, there are some shockingly stupid people in this country.

Look at the stats. Makes a big difference, my friend. Take a look at the top 10 home run list. It's ridiculous.

Either he's an idiot, learning nothing from the VERY PUBLIC and @#$%ed up Romero affair or he's a cheater.

Because a lot of them are very hard to test for and don;t stay in your system very long. Look at the China olympics. A new test came out and caught all those people.

LOL. no question.

I'm sick of this performance-enhancing BS, to be honest. I honestly don't give a shit what they pump into their bodies, as it helps me to feel that much more confident in myself that no matter what they have over me, I know that my balls are bigger.

It's a game that puts less emphasis on raw athleticism, more on burst and eye-hand coordination. That's why so many superior athletes can't make it in the majors.

I wonder if Joe Torre knew this was going to happen.

I suspect it'll come out that it was a complication of taking something supposedly safe for his ADD, Many-itis, or some such nonsense.

Thanks for update above, Edit:

"Ramirez released the following statement Thursday morning: ?Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was okay to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I?ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons."

of course.

Griffey
Damnit I had a very generous offer for him a couple weeks ago in my fantasy league....

Eh, it really might not be roids if that source is correct.

It would be a shame if a legally prescribed substance that doesnt give an advantage caused someone to be banned.

yup, I used to be a huge fan... knew everyone's stats and everything... now they can just nuke the game from orbit.

This has happened, iirc.

A lot of sinus medications, inhalants especially, are steroids. I remember several players testing positive b/c of related medications and enduring a ban when MLB first implemented the new policy.

Well J.C. Romero kind of got screwed though it was not prescribed.

I don't really follow baseball, but I do follow the steroid controversy in baseball for some reason.

MLB has a list of safe and non-safe drugs. If you take something that is banned then you broke the rules and will have to face it. The union and the players know this.
