Just wanted to let everyone know my results using Mantle as my API playing Battlefield 4. My current computer specification is as followed:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200 (OC) @3.06GHz
Samsung 2x2GB (OC) @980MHz 5-8-8-24 in a dual channel configuration
Gigabyte GA-G31m-ES2L Rev2.0 (OC) BCLK@280MHz
MSI HAWK Series R9 270x 2GB (OC) GPU@1100MHz, MEMO@1400MHz
During Battlefield 4, I am currently running "low" on all settings exsept AA-Post which is set to "Medium" and 2xMSAA. CPU usage is flatlining at 99% - exspected. I get an average of 45FPS and a minimum normally bounces around 30FPS+. I am very suprised and pleased with the results, however I am thinking strongly of upgrading to the conpenents listed below:
Intel Core-I5 4440
MSI H87M-G43
2x4GB DDR3 (Haven't decided on a specific product yet)
Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD
Asus VE247H 24" LED monitor (Full 1080p HD)
That should game solid matched with an R9 270x, Corsair CX430M PSU and 2 Seagate Pipeline HD 2's (500GB each) for storage and backups.
