Manual car stalling when turning

Ok I would like my next car to be a manual (I have never driven one). But then I think about this situation: You are on a 4 lane highway, turning left and there is no stop sign. You can't make the turn immediately so you slow down/stop to wait for an opening.
There's an opening, so you start turning. All of a sudden the car stalls. BOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!! you get smashed by the other cars.

So has this happened to anyone?

Just practice more often and I doubt you'd ever have that issue. I swear that clutches don't bite!

If you gave the cars coming at you enough time to stop there wouldn't be a problem.

I regularly make turns onto/off of four lane roads. Never been smashed.

Just stay on less populated roads until you are more comfortable with how the clutch operates.

Haha, when I was first learning to drive a MT I stalled on a railroad track in the middle of town. Quite scary.

Stalled car could happen to anyone.. not just manuals. However... people who don't know how to drive a manual are far more likely to stall them out than people who do. Find a friend with a manual and practice driving around deserted parking lot.

You don't put yourself in situations like that until you know that you'd be able to handle it. Simple as that.

If you stall the car on takeoff you go maybe, maybe two feet. You're not going to get halfway through the turn before you puke it.

You're gonna stall sometimes, if you're worried give it extra gas and you'll be alright. You'll get the hang of it!

There are always accidents, some you can avoid...others you can't.

Practice getting the car in motion without using the gas pedal - that'll teach you where the clutch engages. Once you can do that, you're golden and juts need practice to get used to it.

Have you EVER driven a manual? If you have you would know that pulling out is the toughest part (obviously).

Finding that spot where the clutch grabs and giving enough gas to go takes a while. Most of the time you'll stall, but a sure fire way to NOT stall is give it more gas than it needs. When you do that the tires will spin when the clutch grabs, you don't stall you just make a bunch of noise, and hopefully don't draw unwanted attention. But it works.

Heh in the midst of learning stick right now, I am trying to avoid these left turns where I would have taken it had I been in my automatic.

As I'm learning now, i'm just taking my foot off the clutch very slowly. If you take your foot off the clutch very slowly, it's hard to stall (granted you are on a flat surface) because you will feel the clutch pull you forward and then you give it the gas. However since you are doing it slowly, you will need more space between you and the traffic if you were doing it quicker.

It just sucks I haven't driven my new car in 2.5 weeks because I am still waiting on the lein release from her bank so I can get it registered, and the lady needed the tags back from it 2.5 weeks ago when she registered her new car

No sh!t Sherlock. But if you cannot tell that the advice meant "If you're worried about stalling in a situation where stalling would be really bad, just rev the piss out of the engine and dump the clutch, it's better to spin the tires than stall in those cases", then you should really consider an automatic instead.
