You got it right on the second try. You must add that they send most of that money back to Mexico and they use and abuse State and Federal social services so we are paying more than these people are worth. It would be better to pay an American a decent wage in the first place and pay a higher price for the goods. The only people that benefit from the illegals are the businesses that abuse them and the politicians that pander to them for votes. The common American is getting royally screwed here.

If you're worried about them being a drain on the system or underpaid and thus undercutting "good americans" then you need to abolish the minimum wage and slash immigration controls. That way they will all pay into the system and the work still gets done. The fact is, we'd be better off paying those factory workers a stipend and outsourcing manufacturing. It's just too damn expensive to make stuff here.
