Many water cooling questions :D

I got some water cooling questions...

Heat has always been a big problem for my computer since day one, I'm hoping water cooling will be the solution for that, I've been considering it for a long time, though I'd like to get an idea of how much my temps will drop. Is Water cooling a reasonable bang for your buck way to cool your computer or is it just for the 3D mark score whores? It's rather expensive, and i would imagine there is a lot of hassle involved. Still, i think it might be fun to do as a...hobby i guess, heh =p.

Here's a water cooling setup I've got my eye on at the moment:

RBX: $53
Hydor L30: $50
Chevette 86' Heatercore: $22
Clearflex60 - 10ft: $12 (20% off)
Hoseclamps - 15: $11.25
T-line: $1.75

So about how many degrees (Celsius) should that drop me? I know there's many factors involved, but just a guesstimate would give me an idea. I just want to be sure it's worth the dough and hassle. Right now i'm just on air cooling and getting 47c at boot up and 57c under max load, and it's under max load a lot. Nothing is overclocked or anything.

Also, my case is rather small, it's kinda hard to see where the water cooling setup is going to go...

ALSO, i wonder about how much noise will that setup produce? Thanks for reading.

My water cooling setup from DangerDen

If you're at 57C at load expect to be around 40 to 42C at Load with the RBX.
Some considerations from my statement. You have to have a good pump (300 gph or higher) and a good radiator and fan setup.
If you're just cooling the cpu a regular 120mm fan will do the trick. I have my vid card , chipset and cpu all being cooled so I elected to use a higher cfm 120mm fan. You don't have a fan listed.

I looked at your choice for radiator. although it'll work you'll have to make some effort to make the 1/2" ID tubing fit.
Since Danger Den has the radiators there, I would really reccomend using one that has the pre-drilled 120mm fans holes. Make life simple

The noise is usually less than a standard air cooled system.

BTW after using a water system, I'll never use air again. Great stuff.

Much thanks, Silverback. I've been asking around a lot and you're the only one who has actually been helpful. I was also thinking about going with the Eheim 1250, but it's $24 more, and i'm trying to stay cheap. I would also like to WC my video card. Right now if i got all of those parts, i wouldnt have a clue what to do with them, or what most of them even do, to show what i know. I could probably figure it out though. What other WC parts should i get besides my original list there?

I tried a Corsair Hydrocool for my first attempt at water cooling and run at 44~45C when under load (simultaneous Prime95 and SuperPI). It's not the best, but it works well and was easy to install. My next attempt will be more involved but I am done with air cooled CPU's.

You could just buy the complete kit. It works well.
The hydrocool that the other poster has is also an excellent idea if you aren't cooling anything else.

invotek has made some ehiem pumps that run with the 12v dc that ur ps puts out and comes complete with the ports to connect it like simple plug in to power it without having to run a seperate power cable outside the case

Well i've decided not to go with Water Cooling, i really don't think i could set it up and run it without constantly worrying about it =p, i think it's too expensive for all the hassle involved. Only way I might do it is to get a kit that's already setup and good to go, though kits are usually overpriced. Thanks anyways.
