Marcus Vick should be expelled

Shockwave, stop it...Vick was running down the field...it's not like he was sitting in the pocket and this guy hit him from the blindside...in no way, shape, or form was this a bad/mean/unclean hit by the DE - to say otherwise is to say you don't know football much...Vick would have no way of knowing what part of that guy even hit him anyway, other than the fact that he took a hard hit, which is a danger for any QB running downfield, even one as talented as Vick.

Did it seem like a clean hit to Vick? I doubt it - thats why he went and did something really stupid - that step on the DE's leg. A good QB would shake it off and use that as ammo for the next down. Vick being the hothead idiot that he is, reacted inappropriately.

See my post above. DE's are always trying to mess with the heads of QB's. Clean tackles and uneccessary hits don't really get into the head of a QB.

Heh...you see the same type of tackle on Vick in every football game at the pro and collegiate levels. It wasn't even particularly vicious IMHO. There have been a lot harder hits than that.

Suspension for one game? That's way too lenient IMO. I think he should be arrested for assault. Yes, people go onto a football field expecting that they may get accidentally injured during the course of play, but not intentionally as it seems Vick did.

In an earlier post I stated my opinion is that he should be suspended for 1-2 games at the start of the 2006 season. Please forgive me for not being more specific in the quoted post. I could easily be persuaded that 1 game is plenty or that 2 games is what is deserved. More than 2 seems like a bit much.

Regardless of how many games he is suspended the real punishment will come off the field and I hope the coaches wear his ass out with stadium climbs at 5:00am and other killer workouts while somehow figuring out a way to teach him how to deal with adversity in an appropriate manner. The guy needs a serious attitude adjustment and these coaches only have 1 more year to make an impact on him.

you guys are whining like little school girls. vick is a quarterback, the guy he stepped on was a lineman or something. big deal. vicks career is more important than that guys. if he need to step on him to steady himself, then thats what he should do. and looking at the video, its obvious that it wasnt intentional, vick was standing, probably got dizzy from the hit he took, so he looked towards the ground to steady himself, but still stumbled and landed, accidently, on that guys leg, unfortunately, right over the knee. an accident pure and simple.
